Isn't the Aussie league the equivalent to pub teams in the England?

Yeah you said the same about USA ... and if memory serves me correct the mighty England haven't beaten either Australia or the US in their last encounters 😉

Aziz Behich is another in the - a-League that will be on the move at some point - young attacking LB - technically good and fast. Recently capped for Australia and one to keep an eye out for.

Don't think he'll be moving this window though.

Another decent prospect but I don't think he is has that x-factor in his game which can take him to the highest of levels ... whereas Rojas has that x-factor.

Behich linked to Besiktas for a long time and something might come of it at the end of the season ...

But I'm not too sure if I would recommend Turkey to any of our players - young or old - many players have been screwed recently by moving to Turkey.

REINA KEEN ON BARCA MOVE - FATHER

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1307768&cc=3436

Pepe Reina's father, Miguel, has said the Liverpool goalkeeper would be "delighted" to replace Victor Valdes at Barcelona

Miguel Reina kept goal for Barca for seven seasons in the late 1960s and early 70s, and recently began working back at the club as a goalkeeping coach.

He said he would be delighted if his son, who came through the Catalan club's youth ranks and played 49 times for them before leaving in 2002, returned to the Camp Nou.

Valdes' agent, Gines Carvajal, told Barca last week that his client would leave the club when his current contract ends in June 2014, sparking speculation about potential replacements.

Reina senior told radio station La Xarxa both he and his son thought a return to Barcelona would be a great idea.

"I am absolutely convinced that Pepe would be delighted to return to Barcelona," he said. "I would love to see him back.

What father would not like to see his son play for Barca? I did it, but it would be extraordinary again, if it happened."

As a former La Masia graduate, Reina has the ability - particularly with the ball at his feet - to fit into Tito Vilanova’s side's style of play, his father said.

"Pepe has shown the measure of the goalkeeper he is and I believe he would be up to the task," he said. "Even more, he would be the ideal goalkeeper for Barcelona, without any doubt."

Even if he goes I'm happy enough that Jones is up to the job. He's been decent in his last few games, and every game I see him play, he's improving.

I just hope we don't let him go for fucking peanuts. We're shit at cashing in on good players. Really shit.

Rojas is a great prospect. good skills and good pace. but not Liverpool standard, good squad option if we can sign for under a mill though

  1. MANCHESTER UNITED are poised to make a move for Liverpool shot stopper Pepe Reina.

The Spaniard, who is widely considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the Barclays Premier League, has already attracted interest from Arsenal and Barcelona.

United are trying to force David de Gea closer to the exit, as he has failed to convince manager Sir Alex Ferguson that his long-term future remains at Old Trafford.

But Barcelona want to fill a void that could be left behind if Victor Valdes were to move onto pastures new.

If Michael Owen did it, anyone could.

Hmmm...don't think that's really the case, though.

Yes, modern footballers are mercenary cunts etc.. but, when asked if he would have joined the Scum, as Owen had just done, Robbie Fowler replied "no chance !".

Can't see Stevie doing it (his dad would kill him, even if he considered it).

I'll be honest, a bidding war between United, Arsenal and Barcelona would be so good.
As long as the money is invested in a top up and comer and not Sideshow Bob.

United and Arse have had success with older goalies recently, it'd kill me to see him with united for the next 10 years.

We live in a world where Fernando Torres plays for Chelsea, and is incredibly shit, Rafa Benitez manages Chelsea, Owen played for Man Utd, Beckham spent years playing in America, Del Piero plays in Australia, Man City are champions, Rangers play in the Irn Bru sunday league and we're owned by the second group of Yanks in under 5 years. Nothing in football would surprise me.

Fenerbahçe have been linked with Luis Suarez according to Turkish newspaper, Sabah.

Liverpool stars Luis Suarez and Lucas Levia are currently in Istanbul and were spotted leaving Ferit Şahenk's restaurant.

Şahenk is a wealthy businessman with close links to the Istanbul club who financed Moussa Sow's transfer after a deal which took place in the same restaurant.

Suarez smiled when asked by reporters whether he was in talks with Fenerbahçe.

However, conflicting reports suggest Suarez and Levia are in Istanbul for a meeting with Liverpool's Turkish clothing company partner, Ramsey.

Suarez is reported to be worth in the region of €30-40 million, the Liverpool striker is contracted to the club until 2018.
