If they're getting Adebayor it's not a good deal.

If they're making him their highest paid player, it's a fucking awful deal.

He's done well for them Jon and scored goals. Cunt or not, I rate him. At 5M he is a steal. His wages is at 100k per week. Seems all parties are happy with the deal.

I got no complaints with what Spurs do. Its their prerogative.

He's done his usual "done well for half a season" thing which wins fans over.

He's like John Carew. He's got one good season for every club he's been at. Sadly for Spurs, he was very good last season.

Also anyone seen the player called Oscar who spurs and Chelsea are fighting over.

Should we be worried?

They're really splashing the cash!

ESPN understands that Chelsea have agreed a fee with Internacional for Brazil midfielder Oscar.

Oscar, 20, has been linked with a move to Europe this summer, and both Chelsea and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have been mooted as interested parties.

The Blues are now closing in on the playmaker's signature after a fee of €25 million was accepted by the player's club Internacional.

An ESPN source said: "Nothing is signed but a deal in principle is agreed for €25 million."

Champions League winners Chelsea have already brought in Eden Hazard from Lille and Werder Bremen's Marko Marin ahead of Roberto Di Matteo's first full season in charge as permanent boss.

Oscar, who will represent his nation at the 2012 Olympics, is highly-rated in his native Brazil, with an arguable career highlight being a hat-trick against Portugal at the 2011 Under-20 World Cup final in Colombia.

Barcelona didn't intend to sell anyone this summer, but the club might reconsider this option in order to make another big name signing, in addition to Jordi Alba. The two players earmarked for sale are Adrian and Afellay. Their sales would help raise additional funds on top of the club's current €26m transfer budget.

Keita's departure has left the squad slightly unbalanced. Tito Vilanova needs a central defender and a defensive midfielder, and his preferred choice is Javi Martínez. But with only €26m available to spend, the club believes signing him is almost impossible.

Dutchman Afellay is a highly regarded footballer in Europe and French club Lille has said it is prepared to pay €8m for him. Adriano has an offer from Juventus and the Barcelona manager doesn't consider him a key part of his plans. From the sale of both players, Barça could have €40m to fund one big name.

Javi Martínez continues to be Barcelona's number one choice of new signing but it is a very complicated deal. On the sporting front, there is no issue. The versatile footballer from Athletic de Bilbao can play in Keita's position, as holding midfielder in place of Busquets or even as centre-back, just as he did this season for the Basque team.

The problem comes down to money. Sandro Rosell said a few days ago that there was a €40 million fund for new signings but that it was his intention to not spend all of it. Last week he closed the Jordi Alba deal for €14 million. Theoretically that leaves €26m for other reinforcements.

Athletic de Bilbao is digging its heels in and will not deviate from his €40 million buy-out clause. An amount that does not include the corresponding VAT. That is to say, a further €7.2 million, making a total of €47.2 million.

One of the methods Barcelona is looking at to be able to assume the expenditure, in that event, is to convince Javi Martínez himself to give up part of his corresponding salary. It is a method that has worked well in the past as that is how the Mascherano and Cesc Fábregas deals were done. Between both players, the club saved €9 million.

We're being linked with Kuba (the polish right wing back/winger). He's also linked with Inter. I hope this, like all the other links (bar Rodriguez, Jovetic & Borini), is crap.

I must admit that I 1) think that it's merely a re-run of earlier years rumors as journos are growing increasingly frustrated with us as they do not know SHITE any more and 2) if it's indeed true I really wouldn't mind that signing at all.

Kuba would not cost a fortune but he can play and he's youngish and he knows how it feels like to win trophies in a major league. I like him, he's no Messi, but he'll get the job done and as his goals during the Euros showed, he's not without talent either.

I'm absolutely loving the fact that no one knows a thing about our transfer activity.

Except about Xabi of course.

I reckon we're in for at least one pleasant surprise.

I wish these hacks would get their stories straight once and for all about this:

New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will not be able to raid former club Swansea City for at least 12 months.
Rodgers left the Welsh club to take up the vacant managerial post at Anfield, but his rebuilding project will have to take place without any of his former Swans players.
Various media reports had suggested the Reds wanted to take players such as Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair to Liverpool with Rodgers, but Swansea chairman, Huw Jenkins, revealed this will not happen.

Is he ever going to leave his club?
Weird the way no one's seriously gone in for him.
I know Real tried and failed, but is there something about him that's not worth the inflated fee?
Chelsea spent 50m on Torres, Real 60m odd on Ronaldo, City have money to burn, etc.
Wonder what's up.
