Indeed. Ghosts past a few defenders at ease only to see his shot end up hitting a spectator in row 46.He is good, but incredibly frustrating aswell.
Haha yeah.. personal vendetta has always been the solid fundament of some clever signings I guess.I wouldn't read too much into this though, the press are desperate for us to go in for a Wigan player now. Hot Ayre.
He scored some right beauties though. I'd give him a go if possible.Did Ba score after the African nations? Think he may have got one or two, but he took a serious nose dive. Newcastle would be right to cash in now if they could.
Who needs insurance when you've got our super expensive Australian medical team.Ba is a quality player who got shifted to the wings to accomodate Cisse hence the drop in form. His £7m buyout clause is only available until 31st July. Problem is with his dodgy knee you can't get insurance on him.
Wasn't aware about the insurance issue but he still seems a steal at the quoted buyout clause imo.Ba is a quality player who got shifted to the wings to accomodate Cisse hence the drop in form. Oh wait, didn't we sack them? Nevermind.
I'm giving Carroll a reprieve from criticism at the moment. I'm going to wait and see what Rodgers does with him before deciding on my attitude to him during the season. Surely he has more to give....................? And if he doesn't hopefully a good European Championship with Roys tactics making the most of him will bump up his price to something respectablehence why newcastle got him so cheap. That dodgy knee of his could go at anytime. I'd risk it though as he's miles better than carroll.
Thanks mate i appreciate it. Heard good things about this forum so i thought i'd join.Wasn't aware about the insurance issue but he still seems a steal at the quoted buyout clause imo.
Welcome to the site btw - the more the merrier 🙂

Completely agree.Carroll looked good for us when we started playing a lot more long balls. BR wants his strikers to have good movement, first touch and intelligence. All the things carroll doesn't have. I can see him struggling. he'll suit england as Roy loves the long ball.
Completely agree.
However I'm still holding fire because my moral compass thinks it is the right thing to do for some reason.

Good dose of info there. I'd like him and his sugar addiction. Great back up for Carroll. Foil for Suarez. But I trust BR to know the players to fit tiki-taka.Ba is a quality player who got shifted to the wings to accomodate Cisse hence the drop in form. Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with prolific Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz.
The Reds are in pursuit of a proven goalscorer this summer. Liverpool only scored 47 times in the Premier League last season, the lowest scoring team in the top eight. €41 million signing, Andy Caroll only scored four goals in the league campaign.
Yilmaz netted 35 times in 41 games this season and his modest €5 million release clause has attracted the attention of major clubs across Europe.
In an interview with TRT's 'Stadyum' program earlier this year, Yilmaz stated that he would consider a move to Spain or England if the right offer was made.
The 26 year old Turkish international has been in sensational form for Trabzonspor over the past two seasons. He guided the Black Sea giants to pole position in the league last year scoring 19 times, only to lose out on winning the championship to Fenerbahce on goal difference.
Yilmaz broke the clubs all time scoring record in the league this season, scoring 51% of Trabzonspor's 65 goals.
The Turkish Goal King possesses an impressive mix of pace, shoulder strength and off the ball ability.
Weighing 88kg and 188cm tall he uses his strength well in one on one situations, makes intelligent forward runs and is an uncanny ability of creating space. He holds the ball up well, takes an impressive free kick and has been carrying an otherwise poor attacking team on his back this season.
The Reds will face competition from, Juventus, Lazio, Fulham and Galatasaray. Yilmaz is expected to make a decision on his future later this week.
count you filthy little tease....
We started putting a lot more balls in the box. His first touch was better, not excellent. he's still not clinical enough. We didnt play it long at the end of last season. The reason he looked better was because he was more mobile and his touch was excellent.
BR played with Graham as a striker. Carroll can fit into that system
That's gotta be photoshopped.
Stevie never smiles.
