Have to say I didn’t know too much about it before I came to oz apart from stories from
friends, but it didn’t disappoint at all.
It was a great week. Fantastic weather, 8 days of races and friendly people everywhere.
There were also some absolutely smoking hot women dressed to impress. Granted there
were some fat messes there in outfits that were obviously 2 sizes too small for them but
all in all most looked great.
I heard bad things about Melbourne cup day. I.E to avoid it and that it would be full of drunken yobs but to be
honest it was much better than say Derby day which was overcrowded. As for the races
themselves my big winner was Rebel Raider at 100/1 in the Derby. That paid for my entire
week and the limo home from Crown casino the night of the Cup. That was a great night
which also included meeting some pro dancers down from Sydney for the weekend.
Has anyone else ever been? I’d highly recommend it for those who ever play a trip to Oz to
time it to get here for the Melbourne cup.
