I think Kenny is great like everyone else, but, what is he actually going to bring to the club next season that we didn't have last season? Apart from a bump on the wages bill of course.
Competence at the top of the Academy; contacts for his commercial work; knowledge and experience for anything else he may be asked to help with; adding to the general feelgood factor within the club.
So there's not actually going to be that much noticeable difference to us. We aren't actually going to see any fruits from him being there.
No, not really. Apart from decent youngsters starting to come through, a much-needed improvement in our efforts on the commercial side, and the general improvement in performance you'd expect from any organisation which has signed up one of its all-time heroes, nothing whatsoever.

Apart from sticking your hands in your pockets and jangling your change while staring at a car, that's as male as it gets. I feel sick.

I've just looked at the offal to see where they'd listed him (and they haven't) but I did notice they've changed 'Board of Directors' to 'Senior Club Personnel'. Probably because the board never meets.

Anyways, great great news.

Yes, I find it slightly odd that they haven't just made him a director, seeing as directors don't even count anymore. I mean, why stint with the titles? He appears to have been appointed to...[mumble mumble...] Really, it's all so amateurish.

Excellent news. This could be as important a signing as any we make this summer.
Why?
Because it's a bit of good news; which we're a bit short of at the moment 🙁
Huh?

We've made our first transfer of the summer, Utd have lost 2 very good players and gained a has-been, Kenny will be back at Liverpool, we're about to get better shirt sponsorship than before, Parry is gone, we came 2nd last season which bolds well for next season and you concentrate of the negative rumours???
You do realize that we're potentially losing Xabi and Mascher too right?
Is it official yet?
Not sure.

But I wasn't even talking about Xabi and Mascher, or even Arbeloa.

I was talking about how shitty we feel watching our former player lifting the Scum scraf over his head with a smile from ear to ear.

The last time I saw that smile was when he personally despatched Arsenal in 2001.

It makes me sick.

Kenny returning makes me feel better.

Yes, it's illogical to think that it will actually have any real impact.

But football is also about belief.

Keni hit it on the head.

I don't think he's going to offer any commercial acumen, or help create the next batch of top players.

But he will raise the spirits of the fans, and the players.

That in itself makes it worth it.

And Keni, I dont think we should underestimate the 'feelgood' factor.

The Scum don't see Owen as their new source of goals.

There are other reasons why this deal is good for them though.

Oh c'mon. I feel way better that Kenny is back at Anfield than Owen is at OT. Let's face it, by Christmas when Owen has found himself on the bench and Kenny has lifted the spirits at the academy and Melwood, which fans will feel better off.

Thats the point.

Hope you're right about the rest.

Welcome back, King Kenny. Always great to have the king involved at the club.

And lads, please leave Owen out of this thread - he has a thread of his own.
