Italian press La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportmediaset reported that Napoli isn't stopping with Jorginho. Their Sporting Director Riccardo Bigon is moving for M'Vila and/or Ralf (from Corinthians), having seen their hopes of signing Capoue diminishing.

Never been linked with us, but how about Inter's Nagatomo as an option? Believe he can play both fullback roles, and from what I see of him he's pretty good.

Yeah, really like him. Good player, will probably cost a bit though.
Sakai is also an interesting player.

Barrett saying we've shown no interest in M'Vila yet. Great start to a monday morning if true.

Rumours that Guarín is joining Juve (in exchange for Vucinic). Is one of Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio or (even) Pirlo leaving?

The tragedy in this is that I want Pogba to stay, because if he leaves, it's probably to Manchester...................

Gotcha.

I suspect Wizzy's right though. PSG have bucketloads of cash to splash, and it would mean he'd be going home.

20 is a bit young to be "going home" though.

No disrespect to PSG but if I were a young player of immense potential I'd want to prove myself at a more competitive league. Lucas Mouras did go there..

Mohamed Salah's chase heats up as LFC set to agree a deal with Basel. The Egyptian winger also admitted he only wants to join LFC. (Sky Sports)

LFC will not renew Glen Johnson's £100k a week contract. (Times)

LFC will look for a CM to replace Lucas as Allen and Gerrard seem a bit injury prone this season (Liverpool Echo)

It's like Watford last year who nearly got promoted with about 18 players on loan. You should only be able 2 or 3 loaned players in your match day squad.

[article=http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-fc-test-basel-resolve-6527808]Liverpool will step up their pursuit of FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah this week.

The Reds held initial talks with the Swiss outfit before Christmas but were put off by the £12million asking price for the Egypt international.

However, following discussions between manager Brendan Rodgers and principal owner John W Henry who attended Saturday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, Liverpool are expected to table a formal offer for the 21-year-old.

Basel are reluctant to sell Salah as they want him to stay until the end of the season and help them clinch the title.

However, the Reds, who value Salah at around £7m, will test that resolve as Rodgers eyes reinforcements to help in the club's pursuit of Champions League qualification.[/article]

Oh well, if we are going to waste another chunk of our precious money on a relatevely cheap nobody for a position that doesn't seem as urgent as most of our other positions, it might as well be from a country that we can exploit commercially (Egypt) than one where our following is mature already (Spain, and the waste of space that our current modestly-priced-but-never-ever-plays winger Alberto hails from).

That would devastate me. Him behind Rooney and RVP could be a game changer. Still can't see Jose selling such a player to the mancs.
