That’s fine but then you have to do the same for Gerrard. 11 players in a team, not one.
I thought that he was trying to be creative in saying I told you so without saying I told you so
Gerrards teams won trebles, won the CL, Super Cup, challenges for the title multiple times and had outstanding players all over the park. The idea that he was some Roy of the Rovers miracle worker is a load of rubbish. He was a great player in great sides who just fell short a number of times.I have. The team in which Stevie played was at a much lower level and won less as a result, despite which he was still a player that any team in the world would have signed if they could.
He's 32 until he's 33, that's a factHe's got 6 months more as a 32 year old though. 🙂
Maybe Kenny had something to do with that ... I mean, just maybe. We were the Man City of the 10’s or the Utd of the 90’s when Kenny won everything.

Yes, Mo is now the equal of the man who was as critical to the city off the pitch as he was on it ... skysports fans ... sweet mary lou ... and we're probably the same age.

Salah has been our best player in three great teams and won the lot but also fell short more often than not.
Salah has never shown up in a final like Gerrard did several times.
Edit: just had to check so I wasn't spouting shit.
2001 - Uefa cup final against Alaves. Scored.
2003 - League cup final v Man U. Scored.
2005 - CL final...you already know.
2006 - FA cup final - you know.
Tbf, Mo has scored a Champions League winning goal.
But Stevie is perhaps the greatest big game player the sport has seen this century.
By definition isn't the winning goal the one that settles it? Should be Origi, right?
Pressure penalty in 2nd min in CL, that counts as showing up. But yes, Stevie is a big game player. But he also cost us a league with that slip so that will be -1 for him…Salah has never shown up in a final like Gerrard did several times.

Come on JJEven for you this is off the deep end. Without Stevie G we wouldn't have won a single one of those trophies with the sides he played in. Multiple title challenges? Outstanding players all over the park? I'm going to ask Santa for lots of whatever you've been toking.

Indeed he did and why he’s in the conversation but it’s a lot easier to be part of a team who wins the league season after season vs a challenger like Gerrard or Salah. All three have been outstanding but Salah would get the nod for me if we win another league title this season. Not to mention the fact he’d have 4 titles and 3 CL if not for corruption.Maybe Kenny had something to do with that ... I mean, just maybe.
And I would say exactly the same for our latest successes without Salah.Even for you this is off the deep end. Gerrard has always done it in cup finals. Salah has been more consistent in the league by a distance.Salah has never shown up in a final like Gerrard did several times.

I agree, Gerrard had his groin issues that hurt us on many occasions, but Salah also played for a much better team. That can't be disregarded.Gerrard has always done it in cup finals. Salah has been more consistent in the league by a distance.
Origi's goal put the game to bed.If Origi doesn't score the second, we still win if nothing else changes. The winning goal is the one that establishes a difference in score.

We need a name for that, the killing blow or something.
Yep I’ve heard that used in the past for soccer too. I think it got cancelled on the 25 May 2005 when a commentator said a certain teams third goal was their insurance to win the CL. 😉In hockey, often called the "insurance goal".

Yawn. Imagine if we didn’t sign Jota and he toiled away with 7-10 goals a year at Wolves and was injured half the time. You’d be hearing lambasting anyone who claimed he’d have been a success at LFC. Simple fact is you haven’t a Scooby whether any player we didn’t sign would have been a success or not or to what level. You are getting so obsessive over this it might be time I get you your own closet in my closet.Pfffft… Mo Salah is no Ryan Fraser… just think what we could have won had we signed him in a heartbeat.
