The Donkey

Uruguay found his niche. Put it on a plate, 5 yards from goal with little to no pressure and watch him tear it up.

Interesting that they play 4-2-3-1 and Darwin thrives there as the 9. Could that give us a glimmer of hope of more goals and better performances next season?
Benfica also played 4-2-3-1.

I mean… yes… as long as our opposition can’t defend for shit.

Sort of missing the point. 50% of his goals came from within 6-7m in Portugal too. If we played to his strengths then maybe we'd have the return we wanted /expected. It's his pace that gets him into those positions. I was excited that he would be on the end of Trent's and Robbo's crosses... and then we stopped playing that way. Totally illogical.

Arghhhhhh TOP TOP red !!! When will it end ? Every player I like Curtis, Nunez you just insult them. Just watch when Curtis gets his chance against Iceland Just watch !!!!
I kind of want to take that bet that Nunez leads Uruguay to victory.

What say you moron… what are the stakes?
I dont gamble, if I did I would take the bet. No defence in SA will be able to deal with him NONE of them.

Curtis Jones is a bit wank. 5 good games the back end of 22/23 doesn’t change that.
KLOPP is not using him right, he iwas a great manager for us BUT his missuse of midfielders with talent is very bad, Cirtis will be the main man for Slot.

I don't watch him in Benfica but if that is the case then we have to question why he was brought in in the first place.

Yeah I posted those stats when we bought him and after watching all his goals for Benfica. He would have suited us before Trent forgot he was permitted to go outside Salah and Robbo was injured.

Yeah, but isn't this what we criticize him for all the time?

Sitters from 5 yards out is EXACTLY what we've been missing.

We already know he can score the impossible ones. The simple ones are the ones he's not been scoring.

We critisize him him for missing sitters when he does not know if the other cunts are gonna pass to him or how that dumb shit ball is gonna arrive to him. Its all just make up the attacking play as you go along bollox

i can’t process any more of this darwin apology, he’s on a football pitch with one ball. how fucking surprising can these passes be?

Well when Salah and/or Lucho have the ball - between them you never know what the fuck they might do, they tend to:

1) try and take on the other 4 defenders in front of them
2) think they can take the shot from an impossible angle
3) Lose the ball

So yeah - poor fella is playing with two of the greediest ballers ever so probably think he has to starve each game and keeps getting surprised.

Darwin Núñez in his last 5 games for Uruguay:

➤ vs Colombia: GOAL.
➤ vs Brazil: GOAL AND ASSIST.
➤ vs Argentina: GOAL.
➤ vs Bolivia: DOUBLE.
➤ vs Mexico: HATTRICK.
Please do the same for Liverpool over his last dozen games.

What about Salah's las 12 games, what about Diaz's first 12 games. Yes he did fuck-up in a quite a few games but he was easily our 2nd best forward.
I know Jota is our deadliest striker but he is worryingly injured all too often
52 pages of dunking on him, he is our players until he is sold and he has the potential to do what he does for the international team, may be Slot can get that out of him.
