That’s the most frustrating thing about him - he has the ability and he clearly has the mindset and work ethic to be a world class forward - he’s just inconsistent.

Well this is it for me. He got those two against Newcastle and lived off it for ageeees. If he can do better than the 3 goals in 16 league matches between his braces that would win a lot fans over.

How about being the only player in the PL to have 10 goals and 10 assists at just over the halfway stage?
If he gets 17-18 goals and the same in assists that is an excellent return. Esp. since most teams play their same front men game in game out yet we rotate between five of them, all scoring.
It's what the team as an entity score that is most important and we are barely behind City with, most significantly since 'PLs are won by the defence', the best defence in the league, despite the whinging of some on here.
But yeah if he spread those goals out more I'd like it too 😉

To be honest i don’t really care about the other competitions. 7 goals and 6 assists in the league is alright depending on how you look at it. If we think he’s a 9 it’s meh but throw in the assists and it becomes good output for a ‘forward’.
I just want to see less of a pronounced lull in scoring after this double, any improvement on 3 in 16 would be nice.

Yeah in all comps. The fact he's the first one to do it is wild however
13 G/A in 13 PL starts is more than 'meh'. It only feels 'meh' because he has had enough big chances for it to 27 goals in that time.
It is, feels like someone like Suarez, Mane or Salah should have done it too.
