Peersonally I though that Lucas had a decent first half but his performance still pales when compared to Masher's.


That is the best football we have played all year. We should be at least one more to the good. Lets hope we continue with this for the second half of the game and the season.

1st half thoughts:

Mascherano is MOM so far. Doing his job superbly. Doesn't shy away from tackles. Was a bit worried regarding the injury but he seems fine.

Gerrard and Torres linking up well per usual. Missing too many chances. Torres holding the bar for too long.

Lucas doing pretty well. Quite impressed to tell you the truth.

Defenders doing their jobs. Aurelio is on thin ice with the yellow, Walcott is very dangerous.

Benayoun has been quiet. Seems to be the natural choice for a substitution during the second half.

We need to score another before Torres get's tired.
 
Lucas has been fine in this match - he's done exactly what we needed him to do. Dare I say it, leaving out Aquilani was the right decision for this game.

I think Yossi's looked more dangerous and involved than Kuyt on overall play.

Forgot about Kuyt...
Kuyt worked hard, made it somewhat impossible for Arsenal to attack on our right side.
Scored a lucky goal, which should have been offside, Lucas was behind their last defender when the ball was crossed in.
