They looked very poor to me today. Their CM is non existent!
Having said that they are still the team to beat and probably will be for another few seasons.
And even if they don't win this season I think they will be very active in the market next season when the market has returned to normal. That £80m Ronaldo money is still burning a hole in RedNoses pocket!

No it's not.
He doesnt have 60m of it, cos their profits were approx 60m down over the last two years compared to the figures the Glaziers needed to fulfil loan obligations. That's the reason he hasnt spent any of it, not any of the other bullshit reasons he or the press reps gave.

I've got to say I don't believe that at all FFF. They're making plenty more than what they're showing on the books just now - it's just being spread around the rest of the Glazier empire just now.
The internal books, I have no doubt, will be demonstrating just how well the mancs are doing and we'll see them utilizing that 80m soon enough.

You're not suggesting they have two sets of books are you?

Most companies within a large group have at least two sets of books; nothing particularly illegal about it so long as the published copy keeps within accounting standards.
If you're public and want to control the level of profit you're reporting then introducing management fees from other companies within the group is pretty easy to do and completely legal. The level of those fees needs to be reasonable but, ultimately, just comes down to internal policy.
I really don't know if the mancs are doing this but it would surprise me if they're not. It's an internal control mechanism that most Boards want available.
