Some posters have really covered themselves in glory these last few days, show a bit of grace for fucks sake, he was just a manager who tried to do a job for us, won us a couple of cups but ultimately wasn't what we were looking for. Get over it for fucks sake. No ones asking posters to suck his cock, just act like a fan and show a bit of gratitude and respect.
As long as calling grjt a "cunt" is not included, I agree.
lol.. I'm loathed to get in a barny with the Rafa haters, given a few of them I regard as some of the best posters on the site, but anyway, people wanna give him due respect, which he deserves, and as I've said elsewhere, I'm far from his biggest fan but he deserves better than some of the shite that's been posted these last few days.
Totally.
I've been ever-so-slightly disgusted by some of the language aimed at Rafa.
I never know when to take you seriously. 😉

Enough said.

Oh and sorry I didn't mask my comments with the flowery language that Ryan used.
I would say the dumping the girlfriend bit was pretty "flowery" , no pun intended, and have to say II must live in a world of cynics as I have never heard anyone dumping someone with a bunch of flowers.

I am not going to get into another dabate about the pros and cons of Rafa, I have said I have given up on that.....but.
Just because he has gone, people can't pretend to change their views, and it would be hypocrtical to do so.

I don't think you would have been so restrained in your comments had you not received a ban, and reprieve, recently.

Come on, Ross...let it go.

He's gone.

He tried his best and failed; we can still appreciate what he did achieve.

I expect people change their views all the time, especially as they know nobody will bother checking their earlier posts. I doubt they'd view it as hypocritical either, they'd probably just say they changed their mind.

As ever it's the extreme views which irk others (I see it's still going on :🙂) , I think. I'm sure time will soften the views of Rafa; especially if his replacement doesn't match his trophy haul.

Rafa's gone, we are about to get a new Manager. I'd bet they'll be some hypocritical views, some changing of minds as we go along. Let's hope early excitement doesn't turn into 'I told you so's' too soon.

What do you mean by 'I told you so's' tho?

That if the replacement is as big as failure as Rafa this would validate the views of the Rafa supporters? No, all this means is that something had to be done as we couldnt stay where we were. If it turns out to be for the worse, thats just a gamble that had to be made. I don't see how that's hypocritical; plenty on here can appreciate what he's done whilst recognising that he had to go.

No I was pointing out that time tends to put the previous Manager in a better light than all the extreme views held at the time. Peoples perceptions change over time, GH was lambasted at the time of his departure and now he's the Treble Titan. It's happened before it'll happen again.

I appreciate what Rafa did and recognise that a change was needed as I've said previously. It doesn't mean that some have to denigrate everything he's done, put everything down to luck, call him conniving and indulge in general character assassination, especially when he was lorded initially after the CL triumph; there were plenty then saying we'd go on to greater things and later said they knew all along that he wouldn't make it. That is the hypocritical I told you so' view.
Cant say it better than that myself. *applauds*

As usual, the blinkered, tunnel-visioned, extremely shortsighted 'fans' will be jumping in joy celebrating Rafa's departure. I used inverted commas cos these lot are in no way qualified to be proper fans. Like Judas, they're not true followers. Just a bunch of fcukwits, that's all they are.

They see a bird, shag her and when she doesn't give good blowjobs anymore, dump her. Fine, you want to dump someone, do it the gentlemanly way, send her flowers, thank her for all the good shags you once had until it all turned pear-shaped, then bid your adieus. But don't call her a bitch, ditch her and then throw in the 'fuck you very much'. It may make you look 'cool' in front of your twat-like mates, but not to the rest of the world. The world will laugh in your hypocritical faces and accuse your YNWA and 'Liverpool fans are the most loyal bunch' as a fucking joke.
The biggest cunts are ones who call other supporters loyalty into question because they are glad that the manager has been relieved of his duties.

Hi massive cunt.

Benitez won trophies and made us a force to be reckoned with in Europe

Lucas (for example) has done fuck all, and is shit.

Spot the fucking difference
I dont want to get into a big thing about it, but to on the one hand wish injury on a player who benitez signed whilst on the other hand chastising people for for calling benitez a cunt for amongst other things signing said player seems a bit off to me.
Only an opinion, and im not trying to take the piss, i just dont get personally how you can marry up those two trains of thought and come up with one as ok the other as not, regardless of what they have won here.

If anything, the issue with Rafa is that he was great at blow jobs but rubbish at the basic straight sex thing.

I'm not intellectualising anything

Benitez merits at the very least a modicum of respect and calling him a 'cunt is a bit shameful and embarrassing

Lucas, however, *is* a cunt

For being shit? Ok.

I'd reserve 'cunt' for the likes of Voronin and Riera, bellends who don't give a fuck and don't try, but anyway.

Steady on.

It's not like Benitez was doing the job from the good of his heart.

He got paid millions upon millions of pounds per year to win trophies for Liverpool FC - and last time I checked, he hasn't won jack all for 3 years.

Thanks for Big Ears and the Fa Cup Rafa, but ultimately we deserve better than what we got.

Thanks for Istanbul rafa but you should have fucked off after season 07.You lost us a final against Milan,Your football was atrocious and how the fuck you lasted this long is beyond me.

Mark, the next manager will get the full support of the fans, but when it's blindingly obvious that he's taken us as far as he can - he needs to be removed. 6 years is a bloody long time in football.

When a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company fucks up or doesn't deliver to his shareholders, he's often replaced and a new man with new ideas is brought in.

At the end of the day, we're all 'shareholders' in LFC and deserve richer rewards, no?

By that criteria United should have got rid of Ferguson all those years ago and Arsenal should be showing Wenger the door now.

I don't think you can do everything by the numbers and most businesses will factor in a lean year into their plans.

The pay issue is simply industry standard, I'm sure all the top Managers are paid very well.

Lets' hope the next guy hits the ground running. How long would you be giving him before we win the League or Champions League?

I hate that Ferguson example. It's probably the only example in football history that 'just about' proves a point.

Wenger - he has won the league twice.... His first season : League and Cup Double.

If Benitez had proven he was capable of winning the league - even once, in those 6 years, I doubt he would have been out of the job today.

Fact is he's only come close once and that's not good enough.

You wouldn't be the first to hate inconvenient facts.

I was commenting on your criteria. They'd both have to be down the road by now wouldn't they if we follow your logic.

As for Wenger hitting the ground running he didn't win the Champions league in his first season did he?
