If he has any interest in winnin anythin in the near future he wont join city. If hes only interested in money he will. I think he would be very interested in joining us because of the spanish element, not to mention that hes mates wit mascerano, plus he'd probably get around 100000 a week and be playin champions league football.
If he wanted to join City, I reckon he would have done it by now.

I'd rather Man Utd take up a fair chunk of their transfer budget buying player who's already a part of their side.
Its better that he leaves them for free, making them have to replace both him and Ronaldo!

I wonder how much the Chavs will be prepaired to offer him a week?

You'd think that with CL footy and the Salary, they'd have a good chance of getting him to sign.
Didn't he say he was settled in the NW and didn't want t move his family away?
Maybe that will be the deciding factor mate.

It just seems a strange choice to opt for City if that is the case. It seems the lad can take his pick from us or the scum, yet choose to go to City.
Neil's right, I think...

Just about the money.

If it were just football, he'd probably stay with the Scum considering how much Slur seems to want him.

Not sure if we'd actually want a player like that here, to be honest.

Still, Rafa might just stick his oar in and see what happens.

He's still a quality player and might do well here.

I don't see Tevez as being the kind of player who is all about the money, I hope he can sign for us.
I think he will most likely have more game time at United if he stayed next season and would continue to do well, I hope Fergie has burned his bridges beyond repair.

I don't want him, he's a troublemaking little twat. That aside, am I right in thinking that his loan with the mancs is still in place and he can't negotiate a deal with anyone else until the end of June?

I think Sky are full of shit unless it's reporting confirmed news.

He can't *seal* a deal with anyone else till the end of June. That doesn't stop him negotiating, does it?

Yeah end of june, thats why 'official' talks are only starting today. Its gives them a couple of weeks for a bidding war to commence.

Forgive my 'newbie' ignorance, but surely if he still has an agreement in place with the mancs he's still their player and can't negotiate with anyone as they still have first refusal as per the terms of the deal?

Unless they've definately ruled out taking up the option and have given their consent for him to negotiate with other clubs, which doesn't really tie in with Sky's exclusive.

As usual, I think the media are full of it.

I might be wrong, but I don't see Tevez being that kind of player either. After all, all he wanted was the Mancs to stop fucking around and offer him a permanent deal last summer. Instead they spunked £30m on Berbatov. Then this season, he was pretty much left out in all the big games.

What else can Man City offer him apart from a guaranteed first team start and shitloads of money? Where are all the big stars that are joining City? Are they gonna be in Europe in two years time?

Wouldn't completely rule out Chelsea either.

If Kia agrees to our payment structure of the 25 mill, I think he'll join us.
That's how I see it too.

He'll go to City, nailed on. His owners want the best possible return on their investment and Tevez does as he's told. They don't give a fuck about his career ambitions.

You seem pretty sure of yourself david, i on the other hand believe that the player will go where if wants to go. Either way they'l get around 25 million for him.

Maybe our dealings with Kia jo... in the past with Mascherano would possibly help our attempts at brokering a deal?

Wasn't the 25 mill just the fee that was agreed with the mancs?

Once he's out of that arrangement they'll be able to negotiate a higher fee, not to mention stupid wages, which is where City come in. I think they'd pay what it takes to get him as he'd be a marquee signing.

I think the deal with the mancs was more possibly £30 million?

I think utd had until a certain date to take up that option, a date that has since past. One of the main stickin points wit utd is that they tried to re negotiate the price once that date passed, thus pissing off all involved.

That included the two season loan deal. No one really knows the exact figures.

it's nailed on to City, plus he gets to be first choice and start every game and gain a status where he can criticise the manager, team mates and suggest players to the sheikh like Robinho. the kind of player who will get Hughes sacked.

I gotta sneaky feeling he will choose LFC.... don't know why.

Tbh i always thought that the way he carried himself at WH and indeed at united he was a Liverpool type player, fully committed hard working etc... the Kop would love him.

Im sure he'll be a hero at city should he choose the cash route but...

He would be a cracking addition at anfield. I really hope that he gets on well with mash and a few choice words have been said.

I read in the times today that in their rumour mill he feels that signing for city would cause less ructions with United fans, i'm not so sure that that is true tbh...

I think he is the best player we have been linked with yet and i really hope we have some money to buy him.

I doubt his attitude and comments that he should start every game would go down well with Benitez despite his quality.

He'd fit in well with City or Chelsea more than Liverpool in my opinion.

Can't be certain, but I think Rafa enquired about a loan deal for him around the same time as Fergie and he chose the mancs. I can't see why he'd suddenly choose us when there's a better deal on the table.

Haha, yeah I'm sure they'll fucking hire Tevez to become their personal shopper, you divvy

According to the oracle that is SSN, we're Tevez's last choice out of respect to the mancs. Does that means they know who his first choice is?

Daft twats. I love how they're always looking for a negative angle about us.

Basically what he said was that out of loyalty to the manc fans, we would be his last choice of the four. He also said that going to City would not seem as bad because at this time they will not be challenging for the league or CL.

I cant see a lot to argue with there

last choice? nice to see him respecting the club. i'm sure Benitez can't wait to sign him.

As I said he'd suit City or the renties

This was an actual statment from Tevez?

Using that reasoning, he wouldn't even hold talks with us.

I don't think he'll come but SSN are just making shite up again.
