Confirmed after the game he's no longer the barca coach. What was the fucking point in that?
I'd say Luis Enrique from celta (used to be the barca 'B' team coach) or de boer from Ajax are probably favourites.
At least they've got messi on a long contract, whoever comes in. They could do with selling that useless fucker neymar to city or psg for a billion.
They've got a bit of a rebuild on too, barca need two keepers as they've not offered pinto a new contract, presume ter stegen will come in as no.1, reina as backup? They need a couple of CB's and xavi doesn't have long left in him at 34. They need a no.9 too, aguero would have been ideal.

Just checked on Enrique, and he resigned from celta yesterday, didn't spot that. Guess that's that then. Big challenge for him, he had a shite record at celta.

If only Utd would continue what Barca seem to be doing.

I could be completely wrong about Enrique, but that'll be two big risks in a row. Their holier than thou complex really is hindering them.

Shit record at Celta? They were 1 goal from getting relegated last season and Enrique just guided them to 8th. Pretty decent imho.

That's because they didn't have Aspas this season...

Useless cunt.

I guess trying to use coaches that know the club is the right thing to do if the team is winning, as they did with pep and villanova, but where tata came from, god only knows, unless messi picked him. Going back to an old coach in enrique 'might' work, but he's not been there since 2011, and his managerial performance hasn't been good.
Getting a big name manager in could be a big gamble too.

It'd be funny as fuck if they asked van gaal to help out.

This was basically confirmed last week ... that he'd be head coach.

Thank god for that.

Now it's time to see if the problems run deeper than Tata alone.

I know fighting for everything is what A.Madrid are good at but still feels like Barca were just not at the races for much of the game. Pretty unforgivable given the stakes. But then perhaps I'm holding onto how good they used to be 3 years ago rather than how good they are now.

I think the problem is two fold:

1) It's the end of an era - Puyol, Xavi, Valdes etc ... It's a big big adjustment - Think Manure this year etc ... I don't know if Enrique is the right man for this project, but it may mean they willing to be patient based on his track record.
2) The team was built aroudn Messi - can they now accomodate a manager who wants a more balanced approached (he took 35%+ of their shots last year. Not sure about this year, but obviously less due to injuries) because it's healthier for the team?
Interesting times ahead.

Wouldn't it be funny as fuck if they announced Van Gaal as their new manager.
