Swapping shirts at half time

It's completely bizarre. Is this common in other leagues or something?

What's the point of it anyway when you can do it at the end of the game?

Googled it - Andre Santos did it with v. Persie last season apparently, and got a lot of flak for it. Apologised saying its common in Brazil.

Is the shirt swapping their attempt at some sort of role playing affair?

At least he did us the courtesy of not grinning like a schoolgirl, I hate seeing our players being friendly with the opposition during a match though.

It was all a cheesy load of bollox.
The embrace between the two fags in the tunnel was vomit inducing.

The kit man should just travel with one set of shirts. Then he could tell them they'll have to play the second half in their vest, or beg for their shirt back.

Gaston Ramirez did this against Everton. Gave his shirt to an Everton fan in a wheelchair, and played the rest of the game in a Soton shirt without a name or number.

Didn't Gerrard and Shevchenko do this at some stage during the CL final? I'm pretty sure the match wasn't over. Was it after 90 mins but before extra time.

Rodgers didn't look too impressed about it when asked about it in the press conference. Said he was going to speak to them about it.

I know most people will have seen the press conference clip, but the journo tells him about it, and Rodgers thanks him and says he "didn't know" and "doesn't like that", then someone tells him that Coutinho did it aswell and he says, "really? Christ" and gets up and walks out.

It's quite funny that clip actually.

Partly cos you just know he went & gave the players a bollocking immediately after.

As a parent it's funny, cos when the look of shock & slight annoyance/anger is exactly that you experience fleeting across your face when you realise you need to discipline your kid in public.
