Suso - Our most promising player

Just trying to stir up some controversy. Didn't pull a Balotelli like Ngoo did when he scored.
I think its apparant the lads going to be annoyed about his continuation with the reserves, but i think he'll knuckle down and press on. He will get his chance, he just needs to impress continually in training

BTW, I know that there's a lot of competition for places in the middle of the pitch, but he belong there, not on the wing.

Yup, though I'm sure the minutes he spent out wide this season will have been good for his experience.
If he's not going to get much time on the pitch next season, I really hope he gets a loan move to a PL team next season to play in the middle. I really think he can be a star for us in the future. Let's not stop his development.

Agreed.
Playing on the wing might add some pace to his game but I think we need to move him into the middle as soon as possible so he doesn't take the Joe Cole route.

That close control is incredible at times ... and the pass is pure genius.

The lad is class - I just he waits patiently for his chance and becomes the player he's capable of becoming.

The kid can make some delicious short passes in the final third; that's the attribute that really stands out for me when I watch him. And agreed with the rest above - if he can't get into the team next season, we need to do a Lukaku and send him to a team in the league so he can develop and show what he can do given regular minutes.

On that note - if Chelsea are dumb enough to hold on to Torres and block Lukaku's progress, I hope we do another Sturridge and take the lad off them!

If ever someone needed to go on loan to another Premiership club it's this guy. Let's face it, he's behind Suarez, Henderson, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Coutinho and probably one or two others for that number 10 role which he obviously craves. There's zero fucking point in him sitting on the odd bench and dicking around with the ressies.

Go to a West Brom, a Sunderland, a whomever - just get games. Look what it did for the careers of Cleverley, Wilshere, Wellbeck, Sturridge, etc. One year playing regularly at another club would do more for him than 3 years hanging around getting barely even half chances with us.

agree , i reckon we've been terrible at loaning young players out over the past few years , although i suspect most didn't have the talent anyway as few premier or championship teams wanted them .

Like i said before and i am most likely boring everyone with , I am interested to see how we manager all these young players . Borini , Suso , Sterling , coutinho , allen , sturridge , shelvey all need playing time and i'm not sure how much some will get .

I love watching this kid and I think he's going to be a huge star.....hopefully with us.

The reason I want us to sign a real beast of a DM is so we can unleash all of our creative players, we are tantalisingly close to having a team who can compete for the major trophies. I would love to see..............

----------------------------------Reina-------------------------------
Glenjo-------------Agger--------------------Skrtel----------------Enrique
--------------------------------Wanyama---------------------------------
-----------Gerrard---------------Allen--------------Suso----------------
-------------------------Coutinho*------------------------------------
--------------------------------------Suarez-----------------------------------

*Obviously I'm being a bit speculative about Coutinho because I've only ever seen the Youtube clips of him and he could be shit BUT he certainly seems to have the potential to become a top player and I'm allowing myself to be hopelessly optimistic about how good he's going to be.

Added to this 11 you have Sturridge, Henderson, Wisdom, Shelvey, Kelly, Sterling etc who should all be seen as first 11 players too i.e. our team should consist of any permutation of the mentioned players as befits our opposition and players conditioning.

Exciting times ahead IF we get our monster of a DM sorted.

Agree on the monster DM lynchpin. In time I'd like to see Suso in the "Allen" position above with Coutinho wide left, Suarez in behind Sturridge (who looks quite the star striker already).

"Suso in the Allen position" makes no sense to me Buddha. Why can't you have both? Suso and Allen could be our Xavi and Iniesta!
Your point about Sturridge I agree with but I covered that by suggesting that the front 5 are all interchangeable with the likes of Sturridge, Henderson, Sterling etc.

Our formation will always be 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
Can't see Pesam's team working..
Four central midfielders is taking the piss.

Sorry all, I am missing something with Suso, yes I get it that he has moments of class, but it just seems very sporadic over a full game for me.
Perhaps playing out of position has not helped, it looks like another Pacheco to me, almost but not quite.
I think going on loan to a good ball playing team would give us a better idea, well me at least.

regards

He seems much much more highly regarded than Pacheco in Spain (obviously at Liverpool too).
He's one of the best teenage prospects in Europe, at least for me.

Our most succesful ever line-up had McDermott and R.Kennedy as the "wide" men even though neither of them hugged the line or tried to beat their full back and whip in crosses.

Similarlry Barca regualrly start with.....Xavi.....Fabregas.....Busquets....Iniesta......again no real width but all of them play a fluid game and can move wide as the play dictates.

With my line-up Coutinho, Suarez, Gerrard, Suso can all move wide in our fluid "total football" system. Also, the whole point of having a monster of a CM is that he allows the full backs to take it in turns to bomb forward; so Glenjo & Enrique are auxilliary wingers.
