Super Harvey Elliott

I would be curious to see how he does on the left wing… If, say, Trent moves to RM usurping his current position.

Absolutely. I think Liverpool fans tend to overrate his talent - his technical ability is good, but not amazing.

But his attitude and maturity are both genuinely top class, and probably why he'll end up being a very good player.

I dunno mate - he turned 19 only 6 months ago - if anything I think we underestimate how good he is for his age and how important he could be for a long time.

Im not saying he’s Messi, but he has enough about him to develop into as good a player as Bernardo Silva or even be David Silva - he needs to play regularly in a midfield role, improve his defensive contribution and build a better understanding with those around him - which he will given time and opportunity.

Just depends on whether we’re willing to give him the time.

Harvey's attitude and professionalism remind me of Keegan, whose basic talent was actually no more than good average but who turned himself into a top, top player by making the absolute best of it. What's more, I reckon Harvey's got more native talent than Keegan had. It'll be fab if he ends up an even better player.

The one thing that bothers me is his one-footedness - it makes him much more predictable as an attacker and he wastes extra touches in key moments trying to shift the ball under his left. Big space for improvement there.

All true, but I reckon Harvey has exactly the kind of attitude needed to work hard on things like that and make the necessary progress.

Not having a right foot hasn’t done Salah any harm.

It’s somewhat mitigated by lightning pace and an unerring eye for goal in his case though!

I love young Harvey and his sheer love for the game. He’ll have a top level career no doubt of staying fit. But I worry that his lack of pace and chronic one footedness will ultimately leave him short of the potentially elite level that’s associated with him. That said, he’s in the right place to exceed expectations and has Klopp’s trust - an incredible achievement at 19.

Very early days but I still suspect Carvalho’s ceiling will prove higher.

Yeah pace is the obvious weakness in his game, and more so because it's not something a player can really develop as he gets older. But that's more likely to limit him as an attacker than a midfielder as I don't think Hendo or Thiago would win too many 100m sprints either. If he keeps improving the defensive side of his game over time he can become a very good midfielder.

Iniesta wasn't that quick. His future is not on the wing

If we look at his involvement thus far objectively, in all games he has provided great energy in a somewhat slow and immobile midfield. However, he is also the cause as to why Trent has been left exposed so badly in games. That said, that last game against City has me believing he can be a great asset to this team. The tracking back and tackling, show of strength was essential and is essential if he wants a place in this team.

Absolutely this.

A future progressive midfield for us looks like Badger-Tits, Carvalho & Harvey.

It’s not going to work please those that want to see more powerful, physical players in there.

Been saying this for a while, but we need a backup for Salah. The situation right now is dire, with both Jota and Diaz out.
How about Diaby or Oliseh?

olise looks a talent, raw, but talented

I still want Jonathan Davis and Jacob Ramsey to sing for us.

One of the few positives this season is that Elliott and Fabs are getting time on the pitch.
Ideally, they should both be on the bench.

Would Napoli sell Lozano? or would Juve sell Chiesa?
