Summer rebuild 2023

Personally this is along the lines what I'd love to see.

Gravenburch £25-30m (if we can't get Barella)
Timber - £30-35m
Veiga - £35

& then some promising teenager we could loan straight back out somewhere. Maybe that Guler chap from Fenerbache for £15m

£150m shouldn't be out of reach for us, then maybe we can focus on 2 or 3 sales, get Thiago Gomez and Kelleher out. Maybe 40-50m there.

We're apparently after some 18 year old Danish LB from Leece, Patrick Dorgu. Leece won the u19 primavera in italy.

Here are some clips of the kid.

funny these clips seem to benefit players who are a lot on the ball
off the ball stuff is pushed into the background

also this stats mania is a difficult beast,
there is the reductionist nature of the quantification of absolutely everything
or the attempt to quantify, I should say

then there is the context, which seems to be left out
now suddenly teams and leagues with completely different playing styles and quality are compared, seemingly without much reflection

perhaps this deserves a thread?

NEW: Liverpool are pushing to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich this summer with the player open to an exit from the Bundesliga giants. Liverpool are aware that his future will be re-evaluated after the player returns from international duty. #lfc [mirror]

-----------------Alisson-----------------

------Timber----Ibou----Virgil--------

----------Trent-----Gravenburch----

------Veiga-------------MacAllister--

Salah---------Nunez-------------Diaz

This would make my nipples hard.

It has become very common to watch the game purely through hard numbers and stats and the worst thing has to debating made up shit like Fifa ratings or "xG", proper American approach to sports. I've probably ranted about this before multiple times but I just genuinely hate this so much

I reckon we are waiting to find out what happens regarding Gravenberch and if he’s available - if not, then we’ll move onto our next target > Thuram/Veiga

Konate gave it away, we're after Thuram. Out of the 4 we're linked to, Gravenberch is the least appealing, he is on a whopping £200 k/w will cost £30m ish at least, and beyond fitness is he an upgrade on CJ? @moron
With Konate being only available to play 1 game in 2, and VVD's ability waning, may be we should think the unthinkable, and sell VVD? His value still high. I would have said Konate, but we need Konate to help settle in the French boys.
Rumours about, Thiago could be offloaded to the Arab League... They are buying Chelsea deadwood, can't see why they wouldn't take on Thiago

I hope you find other ways to get nipple erections - cold air maybe???

Dubious link to Kyle Walker. It will never ever happen but that would be a great signing even at 33.

Not sure why you've linked to Moron's profile beyond wanting to call me "moron" in a creative way. Really not phased by it. As to us not playing that game, we have no idea who the 20% stake will be sold to, it could be a PFI shell... the what?
Thiago is a big name, and if I was in Thiago's shoes I'll be looking for one more payday before retirement.

Very few players are an upgrade on Curtis. Thiago could go though.

It will also make the opposition's wingers hard

Thiago is a big name, and if I was in Thiago's shoes I'd be looking for a massive payoff, and trying to earn a wedge equal to Kante
