Who said anything about selling Salah? Get Chiesa in to be his understudy for few years then after that can take his spot.

Who can you think of that’s a better RW than Chiesa? There aren’t many names out there at all. Raphinha and Rodrygo obvs never leaving. Gnabry maybe? But he is 27/28 now….

Why get a 25 year old to understudy for 2 years? I'd rather get a 21 year old, or 23 year old to understudy. Again, massive issues over chiesas injury history

I don't know why but i've read his name as "binominal" for like, ever.

Clearly i need glasses

Well because every squad needs it's fair share of experienced players as well, plus he wouldn't completely be banished for those 2 years....he'd chip in here and there Origi style and build his name into a cult hero.

More from a professional point of view.
He strikes me as a model pro.

It's a no from me. Milner was brought in when we were on the up, so needed someone to help instil that mentality. Ward-prowse has just been relegated and overall isn't a big enough talent.

No chance for me

It wouldn't shock me at all if we did sign him. He's a decent player, experienced and you can tell he's the type who is popular and respected by other players.

That said though, it wouldn't really be a hugely inspiring signing.

Not only do I think it’s a huge chance, I think he’d be superb in our system for us.

He could definitely fit in our system well, and he's definitely better than Trent at free kicks. He isnt injury prone. He could fill in at RB too.

Hes not very good at football, he's at his peak or just past it, he's not fast, he's not athletic, he's weak, and he's tiny. Lots of pros and cons to weigh out for our uncompromising ambitious team.

I don't mind Ward-Prowse for us but 50m is a pisstake and anything more than 25m should have us looking elsewhere.

A value signing. A Milner replacement. But not a major investment.

I believe the same sort of accusations were levelled at Milner before we signed it.

I am not against it at all, fills a space in the squad. Leadership material, dead ball specialist. For £25m and the 4th midfielder signing. I'd give it an A- rating.

We do need Thuram and Kone to give it that kind of rating though. If it was just Mac Allister and JWP. Then that'd be a D+ kind of summer.

I’d take him for £15m… maybe

We just allegedly paid £35m for Macallister and about £20m for Thiago a few seasons ago, there’s no way JWP goes anywhere for more than £20m

If we are only to get two more MFs let it be Kone and Thuram. As much as I like JWP the ones we have been linked with present better value and excitement

Difference was milner was free. Ward-prowse would command less wages I'm sure, but what does he offer? Experience of winning? Nope. Versatility? Nope? Obscene stamina and a model pro? Maybe?

If he's like milner he's the Poundland version, but would cost a lot fucking more
