Yes BB, I reckon Inter would sell for 50-55mLet's see who offers what for whom?
1st port of call is to get the replacements for MF players we know are leaving.
Then we look at driftwood and underperformers. Ignoring budgets, lets say we get 3 MF, that enough there to alter the team. In terms of deadwood -Gomez and CJ are higher up that list. So if someone doesn't offer decent money for Fab, I'd keep for another year in the hope he recovers his form or he stays on the bench.
@binomial didn't you say that the asking price for Barella would be nowhere near £70m? Well, news reports has it Inter want over £70m.
Really? You are comparing selling Coutinho to selling Salah? Is that where we are in this discussion?
Main difference is that when we sold Coutinho he was actually a high performing member of our first XI
Football insider = From inside a colonWow.... I would seriously be disappointed if we got Kante.

Liverpool are closely monitoring Chelsea's talks with France midfielder N'Golo Kante, 31, over an extension to his contract, which expires this summer. (Football Insider)

Kante is 31 and injury prone with high wages. That aint happening.
Would you take him if he wasn't injury prone?
Like him but he is another 30 something plus... There are younger options out thereWow.... I would seriously be disappointed if we got Kante.

For the right wages, absolutely.
I would too - but we need to buy players in the 20-24 range who are young, with no injury record and ready to build Klopp's next great machine.
I'd happily replace Kante for Fabs though.
Do not buy players over 27!
Fuck!Do not buy players over 27!
I'd take JWP, have I mentioned that b4?Would you take him if he wasn't injury prone?
Never. Never ever do it. You start muddying the waters. Don’t be wanking off over a player who looks an exception after 6 months. Long term it won’t work.I agree that this is the best strategy. But, there is always a but. If the right player is available at the right price - you should always consider making a move.
Utd bought a 31 year old Casemiro and he has transformed their team this season. Financially its not a deal we would have made, but the player would definitely have been a massive improvement in our team as well.
