While we may get a better goalscorer (though I think Suarez would do better if he had someone to share the burden of leading the team), we'll never get a player of his overall quality. Llorente isn't, and neither is Soldado. He's one of the best strikers in the world.

This year, you were convinced we'd win the league with him/Maxi/Meirless ... How on earth do you think we'd win the league if you didn't think he was that good (considering Meirless only scored during a 6 game stretch, and Maxi during the last 2 months of the season)?

[/quote]Because I think he is one of the best forwards in the world and I thought Andy Carroll could step into the striker role. It was quite early into his career that i had question marks over his finishing and his ability to play as an orthadox striker. Im conscious that it looks like im not rating him as a player and that isnt the case, hes class. Im unconvinced he is a striker though. He misses faaaaar too many sitters.

I'm not his biggest fan either, but he's too important at the moment for it to matter in the slightest.

I hope he stays forever.
 
I'd be tempted to try Suarez on the right wing if we had a half decent striker. I don't think finishing is his forte but he can open up teams.
