Other than that, there are no positives to be taken from that match. Spurs away is not an easy game, and I can see other big clubs struggling at WHL, but that's no consolation right now. We need to step up, and fast.

He's gone. We've got to figure out a way to play without him. And we can't afford to wait for Aquilani before we start winning games, so... I don't know if it's the solution, but we looked a hell of a lot more dangerous after Yossi came on in that central attacking position and Stevie moved back to CM. Is that our best bet for the next two months?

We need a player in midfield looking for the ball from the defence and someone who will get the forward men running in with confidence. Gerrard is the only chap for the job, with benayoun in front of him.
Aquilani will have to find his way into the team over time.
