FAO Nessy or anyone who can help.
I sprained my ankle over a month ago playing soccer. Very innocuous, no one near me, I just rolled it and immediately swelled up like a balloon. I've torn ankle ligaments and knee ligaments before along with a host of other injuries so I'm decent to judge the severity of an injury. I went for an x-ray and I was told no bone broken just a very bad sprain.
The swelling still hasn't fully gone down but it obviously better than it first was. I can move freely enough on it but don't think I could run effectively on it and def not play sports which would require putting pressure on it.
I'll admit I didn't take good care of it after it happened and after a few days I was out and about on it sans the crutches. Do I need to continue to sit this out? I've read online that there is nothing I can do and not to run on it. I'm getting pissed off at this stage, haven't ran in a month never mind played soccer. HALP!!
