Although whether it's Lucas, Babel or Benayoun who starts, and however we're shaped, the most important thing is that the players actually want to win the game.

Also, is there any news on Skrtel's injury?

I'm more concerned where agger is, skrtel was all over the place yesterday (as was carra) to be fair martin had no preseason.

The marking for that gift header Robbie Keane fluffed was like watching two down syndromes chase an ice cream van.

I feel guilty laughing at that. Can't b@stard help it though.
That's what I'd go for. If Riera is unfit, Babel can get another go.

This is undoubtedly our strongest line.
Aquilani, Agger and Aurelio might offer improvement but can't be relied on to put a run of games together.

No, have we found a nice new scapegoat?
Not at all, but even if Skrtel had no legs I'd probably choose him ahead of Ayala at this point.

I feel guilty laughing at that so I blame you for posting it 😉
all this time and skrtel still hasnt worked out you stand in front of the person who is about to attack the ball in the air rather than behind him. I'm hopeful the penny will drop SOMETIME in his anfield career.

Mascherano at right back? Cop on. He was only in there yesterday as we were missing 2 players
Benayoun needs to be in the starting eleven until we have players who offer more to the team. He’s the closest we’ve had to Beardsley and he should be played where he is most dangerous, either just off Torres or inside right.

I dunno. Would you rather see Ayala/Kelly there?
I'd rather see Degen/Darby/Carra/Johnson/Skrtel etc in there. Mascherano is needed in midfield.
