where do we go from here...

just switched off... We were terrible tonight.. ineffective passing.. and stupid mistakes led to the defeat

Lucas.. not a replacement for Alonso... by a mile

Torres... spends far to often arguing with the referee... sort it out

Gerrard.. Worse game in a red shirt since I can remember.. stupid challenge.. skrtel had it covered!

Voronin... Not a Liverpool player... PERIOD!!!

Babel... See Above

Defence... terrible.. set pieces yet again... 3 of em!!!

Insua... Potential ??... really ?

Torres spends far too often speaking to the ref and as everyone keeps pointing out looks petulant and moody - yet there are no signs of this affecting his goal scoring abilities - Imagine him at the weekend, happy.

Gerrard won't be that bad again for a while, too.

It's very early but given our hamburger munching owner's pathetic performance this summer and the strengthening done by other teams, our golden chance to take the final step looks like a fucking pipe dream.

Vorinin to be fair slided a few nice balls into our player in the box. At least he tried to use it intelligently.

We must have been watching different games because he was really poor when he came on. Ducked out of a ball he could of won and was very wasteful.

next 4 games
Bolton A
Burnley H
W Ham A
Hull C H

has to be 12 points

They're exactly the sort of teams we often fuck up against.

He tried to link up play and shirked out of a couple of 50/50 challenges. Not exactly the game changer player you hope to see being bought on.

I said at least he tried to use it intelligently, he didnt take random pop shots like babel.

However, neither subs did much to make an impact and were poor.

For me two things are significant tonight. (I didn't watch the match tonight by the way)

1) I've got a kid now and fretting over Liverpool fluffing the best chance of winning the league seems in consequent .

2) Very Drunk

League over already it would seem. We have already lost as many games as last season.

Let's hope for the a CL or Fa cup win.

I think many could see this coming with us not replacing Alonso with an immediate starter and not improving our attack

Looking at the next 3 fixtures of the rest of the 'top 4' there will be inevitable points dropped and I can see a few potential upsets but we need to keep the pressure on them.

Man Utd v Arsenal
Man City v Arsenal
Arsenal v Wigan

Chelsea

Pat I know your genuine, well I hope, but I hate seeing people who seem to enjoy all the doom and gloom mongering and love reiterating it when we lose as if it's an 'I told you so'.

It gives an impression that these people are nearly chuffed when we lose so they can harp on again how season is over, knew this was coming, etc etc. Not saying you wanted us to lose or anything but this constant need to reiterate the fact you knew we'd fail is annoying.

Voronin's nowhere near good enough to play for this club. It made me sick him coming off the bench to come on. He wouldn't make it into spurs, city, chelsea, man u, or arsenals first team, let alone bench! Gave the ball away far too much, and his control is like gary glitters in a kids playground!!!

Just as I thought. Look at things far more important to cushion the pain.

I was thinking there are people who says it would have better to lose some rather than draw too many. Well I think we set out to win rather than draw last night. So... we lost!

Will this please some of us?

I think TH might surprise Chelsea.

That graph we see every year, the Liverpool fans 'boom to bust cycle' might aswell be moved forward a little - We usually think our title hopes are over at xmas.

F**k me... we're exactly 1 point less off from the same games as last year.

Our form has absolutely nothing to do with Alonso, despite it being "popular" to suggest so.

Whlle we continue to play players outwide that are preidsposed to coming inside at every opportunity we are going to struggle to break teams down.

You worry when the only player in the team to offer attacking width is the right back.

THe most important player in our squad, not currently getting enough time on the pitch is Riera. He gives us balance, width and he retains posession well.
