1) at the first page I said Carroll might be sold if an offer was made that was big enough
2) I then pointed out that I would keep most of the squad but try to offload the dross. On top of that I'd add 2-3 quality players.
3) The journos seemed to believe we had a poss 20-30 mill transfer budget without sales. Using that as a starting point I tried to show you that you can add 2-3 quality players for that sum of money and keeping most of the squad intact.
4) I listed 3 random players to show you that it actually is possible. ( re Newcastle last season)
Now, since then Rodgers interest in Allen has been intensified. Thats 15 mill out.
Given that his targets probably cost more than what our budget is, its natural for him to sell players if possible.
So, if you can pay attention this time. I showed you its possible to keep the squad intact and spend our budget on 3 random players for that value. Thats what I WOULD DO.
Rodgers targets means he has to sell players to finance the moves. Fair enough. Their value and that the transfer budget is probably lower then what has been reported results in this. Again, fair enough. We want him to get his targets.
Add that to City contemplaiting paying us a massive fee for Agger of course you have to consider it. I've said so in other threads aswell.
