So who are we selling?

I never said we had to spend fortunes you thick cunt, I was asking you how you thought we could afford these 3 quality players you're after.

"3 quality players" are going to cost 30M minimum. Fucking Borini is going to cost 11M and we know zero about him.

So let me ask you again - how do you think we are going to afford these "3 quality players"?

How??
Jezzees to fuck. I just said we have around 20-30 mill to spend if you could actually read.
As I said on page 1' Aqua or Cole can be sold. Thats about 5 mill in transfer fees and up to 10 mill in wages.

Borini 11 mill
Narsingh 7-8 mill
Allen/Capoue 10 mill

Thats 3 quality players that will improve the first team squad. I've even given you some names and fees now. Got it? Good.

If we managed to add Maxi, Cole, Aquilani and Bellamy to the already departed Kuyt and Fabio, we would of freed up a shed load of cash. I don't think it's unrealistic to think we could afford 3-4 players without selling a few off.

We've been through this before. You seem to think a squad comprises of 11 players.

Have you seen the midfield options the teams above us have? About twice as many, and they can all come in and play a role.

We have two DM's and you want us to get rid of one. What happens if Lucas gets injured?
I'd rather bring in a youngster or buy another one. I think Spearing is that bad.

There is zero point in having that bad a cover for a central position. He made me want to throw my tv through the wall everytime I saw him play last year

Really, how much would selling Spearing get us, 3M, 4M?

It'd be an utterly pointless sale. He's a good squad player, seems happy it sit around on the bench - which is harder and harder to find these days, and can come in and play a role. Plus, his attitude is great. I know he's not a world beater, but your squad needs guys like this.

Posted a few times before about Spearing that i just don't think he's good enough - even as a squaddie.

I'm all for having a few valuable squad players because it's a long old season - injuries, suspensions, players losing form etc to contend with but Spearing was a squad player for us last season and look what happened, he was a liability.

Don't like saying it because he's a nice lad by all accounts but he has fuck all positive to offer. For a so-called holding midfielder, he's slow to make a tackle, he doesn't read the play well, his passing is often wayward and generally he doesn't protect the defence at all.

And what, those 3 are going to play for free then are they? Once you've paid the transfer fee you don't need to pay them wages then do you?

You're suggesting we buy 3 players for around 30M, and sell no one.

I'm glad we've cleared that up. Let's see if that happens.

I'd wager Cole, Aquilani, Carroll and Maxi won't be here at the start of the season. That's four massive earners right there, off the books.

Cole = 100,000
Aquilani = 80,000 (I'm guessing)
Maxi = 80,000 (I'm guessing)
Carroll = 75,000 (I'm guessing)

So ~340k per week saved, or around 17 million per year.

Sell: Kuyt, (Aqua, Cole). Aurelio on a free, possibly Maxi on a free.
New wages are more than covered there. Infact Kuyt and Maxi cover them alone.

You really dont want to understand this, but thats fine.

How about we sell every British player Kenny bought. We'd save about the same amount.

Maxi Rodriguez looks set to leave Liverpool this summer after Newell's Old Boys revealed they have agreed a deal to bring the forward back to Argentina.

Rodriguez, who began his career at the club before joining Espanyol in 2002, made just 12 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season.

Club secretary Pablo Morosano confirmed they were in regular contact with Rodriguez and were waiting for confirmation from Anfield.

"We are waiting for official news about the end of Maxi's link [with Liverpool]. There is ongoing contact and we have a contract agreed with him," Morosano told Ole. "But as long as his exit from Liverpool has not been settled, we cannot announce it."

How much did Newcastle spend on their quality players last summer?

Brendan Rodgers will make one final plea to persuade Maxi Rodriguez to stay at Liverpool as the influential midfielder considers a return to Argentina.
Newell's Old Boys want to sign Rodriguez and believe they are close to completing a deal to bring him back to the club where he began his career but Liverpool boss Rodgers will not give up the fight.
Rodriguez only featured sporadically for Liverpool last season but, when he did figure, he tended to make a difference and scored six goals in 21 appearances.

Heading home? Liverpool's Argentine midfielder Maxi Rodriguez
Rodgers believes the former Atletico Madrid star, 31, would flourish in the system he wants to implement and is hoping to convince Rodriguez to honour the final 12 months of his contract.
‘I would love to have him here as he is a very good player and would be very good for our squad – he will understand 120 per cent about the way I want us to play,’ said Rodgers, who hopes to conclude a deal for Roma’s Fabio Borini in the next 48 hours.
‘But sometimes there are issues that surround that; that is what I am speaking to him about. It has been difficult for his family (to settle).

‘I have had a couple of real good conversations with him. I know his thoughts and how he is thinking. It was difficult for him last season. He probably felt that he should have played a lot more.
‘We will hopefully see where he is at over the next couple of weeks and hopefully find a solution for him. But, like I say, sometimes there are other issues outside football.’

Nice to read that Rodgers rates Maxi but it's almost like he's resigned to losing him.

Real shame but you can't blame the man for wanting first team football at this stage of his career, also the prospect of moving back home as well.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Dreamy…

I AM NOT SAYING YOU CANNOT BUY GOOD PLAYERS FOR 10M A POP YOU FUCKING NUMBSKULL.

I’M ASKING HANSERN AND EVERYONE FUCKING ELSE – DO THEY THINK WE CAN AFFORD 30M’S WORTH OF PLAYERS WITHOUT ANYONE BEING SOLD?

Don't know, how much was it ?

Cisse 8M
Cabaye undisclosed but estimated in the region of 7M
Ben Arfa 2M loan 5M permanent so 7M
Bemba Ba Free
Marveaux Free

Tote signed in 2010 for 3.5M

So all up they spent 25.5M for 6 superb players

It's not easy but it can be done so Ryan saying we need alot of money to bring in quality is rubbish.
