So.... United

You know when you say something, & as it leaves your mouth your stomach does that backflip thing & you instantly regret it...

Rodgers has just said Suarez is 'chomping at the bit' to play against Utd.

The FA will probably give him a 10k fine and a 3 game for saying that knowing them fuckers.

Would have been better if he meant it intentionally though.

I'd adjust the oxygen level in the away changing room to cause a barely noticeable amount of affixiation to their squad. Then I'd pick a reserve team to finish them off.

We're the away team.

Drat - foiled again.

It might not be an important competition to some, but Liverpool vs United is an important fixture. We should field the best we have available unless they really are in desperate need of a rest. I also advocate a reserve who plays that position over a stop gap re: full backs!

Ming

Kelly
Sakho
Skrtel
Toure (in the absense of any left back at all)

Lucas

Henderson
Allen

Moses
Sterling
Suarez

I think Sturridge might be given a rest, and Gerrard *maybe* shouldn't start, or if he does, should be told he will come off after 60 mins.

At Carrington. Moyes: 'I don't think Robin van Persie (groin) will play on Wednesday (#mufc v #lfc). He has an outside chance for Saturday."

Take anything Agent Winter says with 15,000 shovels of salt. RVP will play. MMW.

While I agree that Gerrard needing to play a bit less is a must, leaving him out of a United game would be fucking unforgivable. He turns into an animal when he plays against United.

@Brizzle

If robin the rapist doesn't play, that's a massive bonus. They look bollocks without him.

Knocking out them Scummy Manc Cunts on their home patch is a better way of putting it!

I won't be in the slightest bit bothered if we get knocked out of this thing.

I would like to see us play well though, and for some positive performances out of certain players, but advancing to the next round of a cup that I couldn't give a fuck about us winning isn't a biggie.

How can you "not give a fuck" about a cup we've won a record amount of times? We're not in Europe so it's one of two realistic chances of Silverware. It might be the lowest priority competition n'all but it's still a trip to Wembley and a chance for us to finish with what the club exists for.

I know Kenny won it, so obviously you can't put too much emphasis on it's importance, but still.

Err - 3 chances. Or did you forget the FA cup?

Kenny's got bugger all to do with it. I wasn't fussed on it before he came along either.

It's a nothing competition, and winning it would mean pretty much fuck all to me. Sure it's an opportunity to watch us play more, see some fringe/youth players, hopefully play better football, and all that - and of course I'd prefer us to win tonight than lose.

But if we do lose, I won't give the shiniest fuck.

All our energy and thought should be going into the league campaign.

I went the final a couple of years ago and I was just bored and didn't really give a shit. I can't even remember who we played.

I do remember these massive flags falling from the roof and fireworks and a marching band and it all felt so ridiculously forced. When I saw the players all legging round with the cup I was wondering if they could actually give nearly as much of a fuck as they seemed to.

I'd be well happier beating these tonight than winning the thing.

*jaded*

Tonight isn't about the League Cup, tonight is about putting one over our greatest rivals. I can't imagine we'll get another chance to play them immediately after a 4-1 defeat to City. Let's go out and SMASH THEM!!
