means spurs and chelsea (unless they win it this season) will be offering Europa League to potential targets same as we will so we might be able to compete for some targets who might have seen us as less favorable choice to move to.Newcastle will still be looking for bargain targets due to the success they have had with the likes of Demba Ba and Papiss and due to the greedy owner who prefers to spend minimal amounts as possible and sell for maximum profit.

If only the league ended today. That would be wonderful. Won't finish this way obviously.

Nesv must be livid - kennolli gift Newcastle 35m and they take that money, execute a money ball strategy, and perhaps almost make it into the CL. It's almost unheard of - bargain signings come good, gelling really well, and delivering the goods in one season. I mean is it luck? Anyway, nice to see our competitors getting shook up. And if Chelsea won the CL there would be 5 English teams in?

Seriously, fuck them Geordie cunts. I can't abide geordie football fans. Big club? Yeah it's not hard when your a one team city. Imagine if Liverpool was a one team city. We'd have 100000 wanting to go the match!

I am here:

they've spent well and those new signings are delivering the goods. good luck to them. I don't hate newcastle anywhere near as much as I hate the london teams.

next season will be interesting for a number of reasons

1. how will their squad handle europe as well as the league.
newcastle have had a lot of luck with regards to injurys

2. how teams approach the game with newcastle
newcastle new promoted, I would have thought most teams would fancy their chances against them 1-1 but when you move the the upper part of the table the lower teams become more cautious and then it becomes about your ability to break them down.

we'll see what happens to newcastle new season if they are the real deal or a flash in the pan.

Well they're definitely going to have to spend to bolster the squad. Especially at centre half. I'm afraid if Coloccini is injured I don't quite think James Perch will cut it in the champions league.

I can't really stomach Newcastle either and have been waiting for them to crash and burn all season.

Unfortunately they haven't and... well... fair play to them at the end of the day. They've bought well, played really well all season and I'd sooner see them make it into the CL than Spurs or Chelsea. So I'll be hoping they keep it up.

Especially if we can try and land a couple of Spurs players....i'm all for it, but i have no idea who is good in the Spurs team anymore...other than Modric and Bale, but we are not going to get either of them.

I think the biggest thing would be that without CL football, Spurs wouldn't have a significant advantage (other than maybe the attraction of London) over us when we go for the same transfer targets (which is very likely with Redknapp).
