Going off topic for a moment, Coutinho is everything I look for in a footballer. Technically brilliant, vision, enough pace, always looking to move play forward. If he can carry this form into next season and also play well in the cold winters at places like stoke then he will be THE player of next season.

I think in this case its a matter of makeup. Sarah Jessica Parker has become very reliant on makeup to make her look presentable. Not necessarily beautiful, because her face is so long and angular that you'd really have to like that look in the first place to appreciate her face.

It's the most I've seen him do that Rory, he was dropping into our half to take the ball off the backline and spraying passes long.

He is one player who is making me love football again, he makes it look effortless and more importantly is influencing games no matter whether he is wide left, or behind the striker. Someone who can do that is a gifted footballer, nowadays players think they need to be in the middle to influence games.

What I find encouraging about this is that he runs all over the place.
This will help him keep warm in all those cold nights in places like Stoke that foreign players are afraid of (if you believe the media).

5 - Since he made his debut on Feb 11th, no player has assisted more Premier League goals than Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho (5). Smart.
Are we the top scorers and top assist-ers in the league so far in 2013? If we aren't, then we should surely be very, very near the top.

- Sturridge scored 10, assisted 3
- Gerrard scored 5, assisted 3
- Coutinho scored 2, assisted 5
- Henderson scored 5 (!), assisted 2
- Downing scored 2, assisted 4
That's 34 goals and 20 assists in 17 games. Then there's 3 goals and 4 assists from the rest (Borini, Agger, Johnson, Enrique and Lucas), and I might be missing one or two more from others.
That means that we're scoring on average, 2 goals a game, with every 2 out of 3 goals being an assisted goal.

We are 1st in terms of goals scored in 2013, 6th in terms of points accumulated. Our goals are very unevenly distributed, we score tons, but equally we seem to have more 0-0 than most top clubs

That suggest one of two things is happening, either our defence is terrible which cancels out all the goals we are scoring (that doesnt appear to be the case based on the numbers above) or we are racking up massive scores against poor teams which are distorting the average and making us look better than we are.
Based on the numbers about Arsenal scored 5 less goals and accumulated 9 more points over the same period. In the 6 games we have won our average goals per game was 3.8, for the other 7 games we failed to win we scored an average of 0.7 goals per game. This team has got to be one of the most inconsistent sides we have ever produced. We have won very few games this season by the odd goal, we either batter sides or we drop points we very rarely grind out a result or nick something against the run of play
