Shut De Boer on the way out.

Also strange to see so many people laughing and mocking the appointment of Roy Hodgson.

And yet when his appointment - to manage LIVERPOOL FC - was met with derision and disbelief by almost all of our fans, and his reign apparently blighted by our refusal to accept or support him, there was quite a lot of media chatter about how nasty and mean we were, and what a decent, honourable, knowledgeable football man he was.

But after failing - like all the rest - as England manager, he's now universally derided and not even good enough for the likes of Crystal fucking Palace

We were right, as usual. Years ago.

If only they still made Bugs Bunny cartoons. He'd be a natural for the voice of Tweety Pie, though he'd actually be a good fit for Sylvester the Cat as well in terms of personality (I use the term loosely in Hodgson's case).

Poor Palace fans. Imagine buying a season ticket full of hope that your side are about to embark on a total football adventure, to wake up to the news after 4 games that Woy Hodgson is your new manager.

“There were 37 managers on the shortlist,” Parish said. “I talked to all the potential managers and said: we need an evolution over a period of time. We’ve been in the bottom three two seasons in a row for home form, sooner or later that’s going to catch up with us. Frank’s No1 brief is to reduce the anxiety for me and the supporters."

Steve Parish is obviously a Creationist after all.

37 managers. Top of the pile. Sacked for Roy after four games. Ouch.

I think it's the smart move. Hiring him was the mistake they've corrected. Sometimes a bad fit is a bad fit and that's what De Boer was. It was never going to turn around.

After Dreamy's Puel on the Fire thread I felt I needed to up my game.

To be Frank, any De Boer sacking is ripe for a punfest!

Sounds like he was a bad fit from day one around the place so I'm not surprised.

They wanted him out weeks ago.

Its a good thing we've played them at Anfield, you just know we would have lost 1-0 with him in charge.
58-1 in shots and a flukey goal while that owl face old cunt would have stood there smugly telling the world it was "desewed". Fucking cunt.

If I was De Boer, you'd feel a bit hard done by after their last game. They absolutely outplayed Burnley but couldnt score and lost 1-0.
The sack after 4 games. Crikey.

They obviously made the wrong appointment this summer. Quite easy to see given the squad they had and the type of manager they signed.
De Boer now with two short spells at Inter and Palace. Not looking good for his career is it....

Apparently they made the decision to sack him before the end of Aug.

It doesn't say much about their hiring process because this suggests the problems weren't limited to results on the pitch.
