Way to contradict myself ? Threatened? Stop being a complete arse. Let me explain it for you seeing as you're struggling to comprehend. This whole debate has nothing to do with any way I perceive 'OOTers' and your lame and wholly embarrassing attempt to make out that I have an issue with such fans - which I don't and many people can't personally testify to. Nor do I state anywhere that being "Oirish" as you call yourself precludes you from an opinion - it clearly doesn't. My point is simple - I've only ever come across Irish people who actually rate Shane Long. Why is that? Because I've actually only ever met Irish people who rate Shane Long and I believe some, not all - God forbid I get accused of racial stereotyping next - possess a natural bias towards their country the same way as I would towards things associated with Liverpool. That's not a big issue for me but obviously it appears to be one for you.

Whether Shane Long is good value compared to Andy Carroll is a pointless value comparison. A player is only good value if he's actually good enough - which Shane Long for LFC isn't.

He's a good player, in good form. But football snobbery has to rise to the fore - him and Odemwingie aren't good enough for Liverpool. They are good enough to have put their team in the top four though.

I thought it was pretty obvious Newcastle was a fluke last season, despite many wanting to portray Pardew as a miracle worker
 
He's a decent player in a good run of form. That's about it. He'd improve our team simply because we lack strikers but it wouldn't exactly be an exciting signing.
 
He's alright. We are poor to alright. He would score goals for us I guess but it just shows how far we have fallen that I would actually take him

Not wrong on all levels, he is welcome to say that he considers long to be garbage but stating Irish Garbage puts a whole different tint on it, I am not the one who should tone it down, thanks anyway.
