Not sure what to make of that - I think you are kidding, right? Fowler was technically wonderful, several nothes above Long. Rush was also technically very good.

I can see how you would have interpreted silky skills, probably wrong choice of words, what I meant was a 'proper footballer' in the sense of what who has vision, technical ability, a footballing brain - some players have silky skills without possessing either attribute (asprilla/wanchope spring to mind)
