Maybe Van Gaal should've played Krul right from the start, so then he wouldn't have had to agonize over whether to use the last sub on a keeper or an outfield player. Fucking numpty out-clevering himself. With that last bit of tactical masterclass against Costa Rica, he basically said to that schoolboy-looking keeper of his that he didn't trust him on penalties, and to that thuggish man mountain that he didn't trust him in normal play. Great votes of confidence to both his keepers there. Numpty.

This World Cup has been really weird. I've supported teams in the quarters and semis that I generally didn't support in the past (Germany, Argentina) and wished the worst for those that I used to cheer on (Brazil, Netherlands).

* Messi's work rate is non-existent. It almost seems he feels that he's doing a favor to the team by playing. Granted, he's incredible. But he was really average yesterday ...
