Seen this link in a few places now but not really mentioned on here, anyone watch him? Is he any good?

Liverpool look set to sign Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio for a fee believed to be around €35 million.
The deal to bring the 24 year old midfielder to Anfield could be completed in a matter of days according to Portuguese newspaper OJogo

Despite having two years left on his contract Eduardo Salvio has turned down numerous renewal offers from the Portuguese champions and they are looking to cash in on their prized asset.
The winger has a release clause of €60 million though it is believed a deal in the region of €35 million can be struck.

It is no secret that Liverpool are looking to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window after a disappointing campaign. The Merseyside club may be looking to Eduardo Salvio as a replacement for Raheem Sterling whose days at Liverpool appear to be numbered.

he can do some fun stuff

I think as a potential replacement for Sterling he looks quite good. Problem is IMO we don't need a direct replacement: we need someone like Depay or Walcott who'll take a similar position but offer a proper goal threat.

If FSG are really so committed to cultivating young talent, then they ought not to want to block the progress of Ibe, Canos, Ojo, Wilson and Kent by investing so much money on yet another wide player. They've already got a £20m player in Markovic sitting on the bench every week. Bloody hell. First priority: get a top proven striker for whatever it takes. Then if there's enough left over, get an aggressive central midfielder who'll give the team a bloody backbone.

Looks like we're taking the Wenger approach, sign every attacking midfielder you can find. The rest will sort itself out.

We were linked with Geoffrey Kondogbia of Monaco by L'Equipe today, a proper midfield enforcer. One can only hope there's something in it.

That would be a great pick up - prefer Schneiderlin, but we're probably scarred permanently with Soton players.

I really hope Salvio isn't the 'player' mentioned in that letter ...

And even though it a close one, kondongbia has a better name

Bagsy kingkondongbia if he's good

Bit long though
