I find it very hard to believe that billionaire hedge fund managers, architects of mayhem on global markets, a team of reptiles that bought the club simply because it was available at an artificially low value, are motivated by profit.

So lots of invective about how folks dont like SOS, but as of yet still not one constructive comment about what in the letter is actually wrong. The closest I have seen is that maybe they shoudl not have cc'd the Echo when they sent it

Nice work lads ... lets not let facts get in the way of good old prejudice.

What business is it of theirs how the club is run? Do they own it?

I thought people were sick of business getting in the way of football? They're trying their best to stick their beak in.

I think its because they're bored they've done it. Not much to complain over, so they're kicking off a bit.

The whole point is that people on this forum are argumentative and unreasonable and don't agree with anything, and even if they did they wouldn't admit it. That's why SOS's effort is being knocked.

It's called being difficult or non-conformist if you're a smart-arse. It's probably why SCM was set up in the first place.

We're all on here because we can't abide opinion on the mainstream forums, in fact we're so awkward we don't even agree with one another very often.

Oh yeah, the letter, who gives a shit.

The problem is not the letter itself as such, but that it is the sort of thing that you might reasonably expect after a few months. Its only been a week, and the season is finished!

What are the owners meant to do? Sack Kenny then get straight on the phone to SOS, letting them know exactly what the plans are? Or maybe they are expecting a place or two on the interview panel?

I can see what they are saying in part, but I get the feeling that when they say things like 'a cross section of supporters', what they actually mean is 'we have formed a self important group, tried to promote ourselves and we are a bit peeved that you seem to be ignoring us'.

I suspect if John Henry went ahead and formed a group of supporters to consult with, but it didn't include SOS then they would go absolutely mental.

That's precisely what he did, didn' he? As soon as the supporters' committee was formed SOS were mightily peeved because they weren't able to claim to speak for all fans.

Yep, it includes a disabled one, yellow one, brown one, black one, blue one, amphibian, rodent, lizard, etc.

SoS don't like it at all. It's done nothing though, I'm sure Henry just did it to show who is (literally) boss.

Creating and conducting dialogue with the club owners shouldn't be done through the press. There are channels to follow. Discretion is the better part of valour. The media have their own agenda and Liverpool F.C. have always got the short end of the stick. So this is something we should always be cognisant of.

FSG are going to do things their way and its something we have to respect even if we don't like it. Let's not be short sighted and forget how we almost went belly up under G&H. With the huge spotlight being shone on the club, there's plenty of dissent and we are getting much negative press. Too many knee jerkers out there. Discretion is necessary with all the ongoing interviews and appointments being made. We surely don't want to be the last to know but if that ensures we get the best people in to do the job then its worth the pain.

We all have concerns about the lack of information but does anyone really expect FSG to publish their best laid plans for the club via the media? Yes, not everybody agrees with King Kenny's sacking but ultimately he failed by his own hand. A combination of his signings non performance, injuries, bad luck and not getting us into the top 4 as was his mandate, conspired against him. While many share the opinion that his sacking was necessary, that doesn't make it right.

Failure is always hard to swallow even by one so loved. There should be no double standards. If all the managers were judged on their results since King Kenny abdicated, there should be no exemptions to that. Not even for him. He always put the club first and will be the first to put his hand up to stand by that principle. That's why despite his sacking, he can still come out and call on the masses to support FSG because he undestands what direction they want to take the club in. The Liverpool Way is not it seems the American Way. That its something of the past is a tragedy because it differentiated us from all the other clubs. Those are the cold facts and not necessarily pleasant.
