Rooney surpasses all but one

Keep digging man. When is modern football starting for you? Ian Rush played some of the same years as the only other one (according to you) and he put away a 229 League goals for us........ And that is just 1 example of strikers playing at the highest Level in football. So fuck off with this bullshit mate.

Ian Rush was sublime but that was during a very different era as you know well.

And there has been so many better players than Rooney in the last 20 years hence I was asking people's views on where he sits and whether he can break the Shearers record.

If you don't want to discuss that, just post in another thread.

It's not that hard

People who object to threads like this make me wonder what the maturity level of our fans is.

If talking about only the 2nd striker in modern football to score 200 league goals at the highest level is a worthy discussion simply because of who they play for.

It's pathetic.

It's not pathetic. What's pathetic is you going out of your way to glorify a manc blueshite cunt who fucking hates LFC with a passion.

Also, this thing about the the "Premier League era" is something the mancs and the plastics talk about. Football has been around since long before 1992. Not to sound like Alan Partridge, but, they just re-badged it you fool.

Again. Define modern era?

Yeah, but give DB a break. This is a one-off, its not like he has form for this sort of thing.

Oh

"Ian Rush was lucky to be part of that era, it's not like that era was down to us having Ian Rush. When he left we brought in Aldo, Barnes and Beardsley and became even better. But the long term success was down to club culture and not Ian Rush."

You still disagree with that one Man? Wow. Pretty much saying that Rooney was Lucky to be part of this era for Scum, and this era for scum was not Down to having Wayne Rooney......

Rooney had all the ability to do much more if he looked after himself

But he didn't. He's a thick cunt

That doesn't mean the achievement isn't worth noting

Just not on a Liverpool fucking website. The press are going to wank themselves dry over an englishman doing something which he should have done 3 years ago

Quite, only a Manc or Chav would champion the "Premiership era" bollocks. Oh.

Mark, I'm not really sure what your point is, but I was generalising. I'm saying that it's mostly fans of teams with more recent league success that like to make the point that Liverpool have never won the Premier League. The 18 titles we already have don't count in their eyes.

It's not pathetic, what's pathetic is acting confused when a bunch of Liverpool fans don't particularly want to circle jerk over Wayne Rooney, it's not fucking rocket science. It's like heading over to Mumsnet and praising Evander Holyfields ability to avoid paying child support.

Dreamy, you absolutely knew you'd get this kind of reaction. It's a cry for help! Or attention! Either way... you knew full well what would transpire :redcard:

Get your hanky out, Dreamy - Rooney's just announced his retirement from international football. Boo Roo!

Just for the record I've always thought he was a fat, bitter, overrated scum twat that hung onto the shirt tails of more talented folk. He's retired? At 31? Well he has been dropped for the last few games but that's OK Southgate (king of footy nous) has called him up only to be refused by hair weave Rooney. Fuck him and the Grandma he rode in on X

He was a much more frightening player when he was 18,19,20. He seemed to get a lot of his aspects of his game coached out of him, or he peaked early and injuries took their toll. Probably a combination of the lot. He should've achieved much more given his talent when he was a teenager, but on paper he's achieved everything really. His career could've been much, much better.

Thank god it wasn't, the cunt.

Enough about Dreamy.. What about Rooney?

Sorry Dreamy. I do applaud your efforts to talk more about football in general. However does it always have to be about Utd or Ex Utd players? Pick a different country.

If you'd posted something like "that manc bluenose bellend just scored his 200th league goal", then people might have a bit more respect, than you talking about it like you're gagging on his tiny granny shagging cock.
