....that if Souness had still been at Liverpool in 1985, we would have done the Treble.

He's on Keys And Gray (Talksport) and he's been alright.

Good listen.

Razor's on in a bit......*sigh*

I really enjoyed that.
I'm sure a couple of people have been less than complimentary about Ronnie.

He seemed fine, to me.

He didnt think much of him as a manager though! Who did I suppose?

Phil Boersma.

I wonder what Boersma is doing these days? Souness not being a manager anymore must have presented him with an awful problem. Maybe he is doing Souness's gardening or DIY jobs around his house.

I can't base this on personal memory as I was only 5 years old but although I know Souness was a brilliant player, and it certainly seems that he was not replaced effectively, were there not other factors that season that did not help matters? Wasn't Rush (32 league goals the year before!) being injured a fair bit not something of an issue too?

A strange thing about Boersma: he never looked that good for us, but when Keegan went mad in the 74 Charity Shield match and got a long ban for fighting with Bremner, Boersma got a run in the side and suddenly looked terrific. Then Keegan returned and he faded again. A strange career - that one brief period showed a promise that was never realised.

That is odd. It doesn't look like he had a great playing career elsewhere either. Logically you'd expect that a player who had his moments but wasn't quite good enough for a top club would still be able to do well at another club. Doesn't always work out that way though
