Rodgers survives

Exactly, I'm not sure you can sustain these kinds of annual losses, and then claim the "lizards" are out to shaft us. It's a bit 'conspiracy" type wishful, David, no?

Operating losses or profits don't tell the value of the football club. They are just a snapshot of activity.

The owners have a vastly more valuable asset than the money they paid for it.

They can well afford to invest further.

They have invested money. Given how shit our transfers are, I am not surprised they are a bit wary of investing more. I dont blame them for not throwing more money at the club. However they do face a little bit of the blame for creating the organizational structure which has led us to finishing below Spurs consistently. And if we do badly next season, that is completely on FSG and their inaction this summer.

I think you're right the current transfer structure seems confused and wasteful. They need a better way to entrust funds.

As several have said, the 'review' is way too short and superficial. And it has the wrong people present. Imagine if they asked Rodgers about tactics. He could easily just talk them into submission. I guess their relative ignorance might have led to some good 'cut the crap' questions, but generally there's no one among the group who'd be able to really challenge Rodgers once he gets going. Fans could, but not Werner or Gordon. If they're going to take those things seriously they need a proper football man to help them. Dein knew enough to challenge Wenger every now and again. Werner's never going to have a clue.

TW: "what did he say?"
MG: "I don't know I was dazzled by his teeth and lost concentration"
TW: "What's a false 9?"
MG: (shrugs) 8?

Brendan's probably off now to get a hair transplant. Nina Simone's 'I Got Life' sounds like a 'to do' checklist for him these days.

I was pretty upset with the reaction to me venting my frustrations with Rodgers when I finally lost faith. It was in February after the toothless derby draw where I think he got everything wrong tactically that day and then couldn't change it (or did he even try to?).

People calling me an angry poster for being emotional about the club. Its like if you're not all peachy and rosy then you're the problem on here sometimes. Its not like I had the track record. It was a one day letting go of any belief I had left and the realization we were never going anywhere under the man hurt. I tried to be analytical with my posts too. But I won't bang on about it, and I still wish him the best for now because he manages LFC. I just don't like anything about him at all. And I think his personality fits better at the plastic club.

May he go on to prove me wrong, may Christian Benteke be the right CF for us when Rodgers gets his man.

ROdgers can talk for hours about tactics, but it takes less than ten Seconds to ask: "It didn't work against Stoke did it"?

The person conducting the review thought that Stewart Downing knocking balls into the bin video was real. Rodgers could have said anything and he would have nodded.

Haha. Well spotted. Was wondering if the Deluded Brendan and Boring Milner accounts are managed by the same person.
