our attack for the last few years has been pretty rubbish; the difference in quality between our attack and the attack of other top clubs is greater than that of our midfield and defence. yes we can improve everywhere, but lets start in our weakest area - attack attack attack.

Only one of them is real top quality and he's getting old now and yet we're still so reliant on him in midfield. Spurs have a adebayor and defoe who were both shit last season, but it was their midfield which was their strong point. Yes Bale is their main man in midfield, but he has licence to drive forward because of players like dembele, sandro (and now paulinho) who all do the defensive side of things as well as being able to impose themselves in games.

its not a question of how good our attack is compared to our midfield, its an issue of how bad our attack is compared to other key clubs. Brendan knows.

suarez almost got golden boot, sturridge still got into double figures even though he was injured a lot and coutinho got more assists than anyone in the second half of the season. How exactly is our attack so weak compared to all the top teams. Tell me exactly how spurs' attack is better than ours.

No one said it (goals per shots) isn't important, it just isn't the whole picture and the fact he gets so many chances is because he's so creative and his movement is excellent, it's not to compensate, it's just his game. It's a fair observation with some important insight into his abilities as a clinical striker, but it's not the complete story of him as a player and how that dilutes his contribution or his threat. He's still just scored 50 odd goals in next to no time, in comparison to some fucking great players, so at the end of the day, the end product is still there. Andy Cole won the league and scored bucket loads for United but wasn't half the player Suarez was and was even more erratic infront of goal, do you think he or the fans gave a fuck?
