From 7, sounds like he will be talking about his coaching methods, should be worth a listen.

Unfortunately its on Talksport with Collymore.

I'll post a link to it when its available if anyone wants a listen later.

He'd be great on his own 'through the night' show on Radio 2. 'It's 2.34am, it's Radio 2 and it's Brendan here, so it is. We've got our regular feature "Brendan's Envelopes" coming up. This morning I've got Fleetwood Mac in my first envelope, Nora Jones in my second and Mr Billy Joel in my third. So that's a treat in store for you all, so it is. But first, it's one of my favourite callers, it's Betty from Sidcup. Hello, Betty, m'darlin'...'

It was a good listen, Brendan is getting a lot of love from the media in this country, not sure what to make of it tbh.

I think the media can't believe their luck that there are actually British managers out there that aren't dinosaurs, Rodgers gives them all a bit of hope.

That interview just reaffirms what a good man manager Rodgers is and what a massive part of man management is in it all.

Lots of my Scum supporting mates took the piss outta Brodgers over the David Brent-isms on that TV show, funnily enough none of them take this piss now! They've also strangely stopped ridiculing Henderson. In fact they're strangely quiet about all footballing issues, ain't life grand.

My Scum supporting mate told me yesterday that terrible though Moyes has been, he wouldn't swap him with Rodgers, who's a 'joke' apparently.

Fuck me, I wish we win the title.

[article=http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-news-brendan-rodgers-says-3181421#ixzz2uPPi4cVr ]The Reds boss told talkSPORT: "When we spoke to the owners when I decided to come here, I certainly wanted to be challenging for the Champions League by the time we were in our third year. I knew there was a big job to do at Liverpool.

"We've probably moved ahead of where I thought we would be this season - some of our play has been exceptional - but there are still areas of the team that I feel we need to improve on.

"Working with the players, I'm not surprised, because I see how much they put into it and the qualities they have.

"Sometimes in the press this season, I've maybe been deemed to be playing down our hopes and expectations. But it's an authentic look at where we're at.

"Certainly, where we are at the moment with 11 games to go, it has been a wonderful season for us. But we've still got a lot of work to do."

Liverpool are just four points behind leaders Chelsea, but Rodgers insists he is looking no further than Saturday evening's clash with Southampton at St Mary's.

"I'm only looking at the next game," said the Northern Irishman.

"We've got Southampton, which will be a tough game.

"We're playing with great confidence and great belief. We have elements of our game that we need to improve on.

"All we can do is do our best. There are other teams above us that are probably favourites and are more equipped to win the league, because they have been there and got stronger squads.

"We will just continue to do our best. We're in a really good position, but there's still an awful lot of work to go before we can think of winning anything."[/article]

My mate, who, God help him, supports Scottish footy, said to me the other day, that he's just loving this year's PL. And that he thinks we're playing some of the best attacking football he's seen in years, and he hopes and thinks we will win the league. Hearing a neutral talk like that was a wake-up call. We're pretty fucking good you know.

I like this doc, I like this very much. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

He's just saying that because he's hurting bless him. You should help ease his pain by laughing in his face repeatedly. After all laughter is the greatest cure.

Yeah, it was interesting to hear the sheer pleasure in our football that only a neutral can probably extract. As supporters we're too nervous and hyper-sensitive to mistakes to fully appreciate the joyousness of our barnstorming assault on the league.

I have to watch all our wins at least twice, so that the second time I can just sit back & enjoy the incredible football with no stress. We play some fucking incredible stuff going forwards.

My dad is a very critical neutral who really knows his football having played and managed professionally. He expressed similar sentiments recently and I know exactly what you mean.

Incidentally, five years ago was the last time he spoke about us in those terms, but he also said we would end up 2nd at best.
Last week he said to me "Enjoy each moment of this season, you're going to deservedly win the damn thing."

I also think we're just extremely nervous that we'll fall apart at some time, because we've been broken for so long now.
I find it hard to really enjoy a game because of the tension and nerves that creep in and like Jon I usually watch it one more time later in the evening. Only if we win mind but then its just fantastic to watch.
We play some amazing attacking football though and I really like Rodgers. Hope he's here for many many years.

The guardian podcast led by the guy that used to do the channel 4 serie A shares a similar opinion, that we're a joy to watch and stand out in terms of entertainment in the league. Unfortunately they think we won't win the league and our defence is shit.

Any time I listened to that podcast in the past they barely gave us a mention but the football Rodgers has us playing is clearly turning heads.

Even though we have played some brilliant stuff all season and had some great results i think the Arsenal 5-1 is what really turned heads, there was no ignoring or denying it after that game.

Yea that's true, arsenal seem to be the darling of a lot of media outlets, I guess because they're a capital club and have the reputation of being a great footballing side. Talk sport in particular have a shit attack when anything happens to arsenal, when sczenzy got that red card they talked about it all day and how pens and red card were a double punishment that ruins a game barely mentioning the same thing happening to city a night earlier.

Went a bit off point there but I agree beating them at their sexy football game got us properly noticed.

I think the fact we have become everyones 2nd fav team to watch speaks volumes,

Every nuetral I know wants us to win it.

That sent shivers down my neck.
