Rodgers in Rome, Pjanic Buying ???

Yeah, Nainggolan sounds more likely, given our depth at attacking midfield already. A move at CM sounds more plausible, especially if Lucas still wants to leave at the end of the season, and if talks with Henderson on the new contract continue to stall.

If Can masters the DM position, then we might not really need someone like Nainggolan. Keep Lucas as back-up and you'll have:

DM: Can, Lucas
1st CM: Henderson, Allen
2nd CM/No. 8: Coutinho

You're probably then looking at a playmaker to compete with Coutinho for the 2nd CM/No. 8 role.

Pjanic does seem to fit the bill position wise. I wonder if we could do better though.

Off the top of my head, I can think of Koke who I'd prefer to Pjanic. I'm sure I can think of more. Pjanic is a nice player, but I don't think he's 25 million nice, and we've been stung by poor Serie A purchases too many times for it not to raise some concerns.

That dude has a selfie stick and still stretches his arm out. Rodgers has weird fans.

That's not a selfie stick. He's using a wide angle lens and he's holding the camera .. that's part of his hand you can see - you wouldn't see it with a stick.

If that's what we've got then we don't need anyone to compete with Coutinho (unless his name is Lacazette) as we also have Lallana and Sterling who can play there, we do however need much better than Allen competing with Hendo in CM.

Outside the Vatican.. We are looking to sign the pope
I am the last person to comment on sartorial elegance, but BRs shirt & jacket combos really are the pits ...

Pjanic is a very good player.

Will have no problems adjusting to the Premier League.

The only issue with him is fitness ... he can't seem to last 90 mins in a high intensity game like Roma vs Lazio, Roma vs Juve ... he is out of petrol by 75 mins in those fixtures ... To his credit though he does work hard, but it is an area that he needs to work on.

Interesting.

Who is better? Him or others like:
Draxler, Kovacic, Calhanoglou, Illarmandi, Oliver Torres even James Ward-Prowse?

Bundesliga bias and the rise of the Caiser suggest Calhanoglou is the real deal.

Apparently Pjanic likes nightclubs so the English tabloids would love the headline

"Pjanic at the Disco"

He's certainly not on mine. I don't see how or where he fits in, he's never impressed me when I've seen him, and he's coming from Seria A.

I hope I'm wrong and the guys brilliant, but alarm bells are ringing.

is there no chance Rodgers has just whisked his young lady friend away to Rome for probably their first Valentines together?
