He said himself that Rodgers lied to him and didn't talk to him for months. Do you really believe that a manager will keep a player he treated like a piece of shit?

No he didn't. He said that he wanted to stay but Rodgers lied to him and made that impossible.

Again, he said that Rodgers lied to him and made it impossible to stay.

It is up to you if you believe the club version or the Agger one.
Oh dear. Its nice they let you use the computerbox.

I agree that Rodgers hasn't been given a lot of money and has had to sell his best players, so he's been dealt a tough hand... but even so we're fucking shite. The lack of a consistent plan is the prob. We've scored 4 goals in our 6 games... and we've played against a lot of shite. It's not good enough regardless of the net spend.

As for the ground. Expansion was always preferable to moving. I always thought the new stadium idea was stupid, this is a much better way of attaining a similar goal.

From the offal:-

He was certainly outstanding in his performance," Rodgers continued.

"He knows he’s had to be patient and his attitude has been first-class. We won our first few games, our performance was good, so it was difficult up until the international break for him to play.

"But he’s trained very well and remained very professional, done his extra work on his fitness and you see tonight he has got his rewards for that.

"So he certainly comes into the reckoning for the weekend."

That is Rodgers talking about Sakho. "We won our first few games, our performance was good, so it was difficult up until the international break for him to play."

He's a fucking knobhead.

Another belter.....

"I’ll always give young players an opportunity if they’ve got the personality. This is part of the growth of a young player – do they go out on loan or do you keep them here and put them under that pressure? A lot of our players are actually out on loan"

Whatever Rodgers is selling , I'm not buying. Second hand car salesman trying to convince you that somethings good when you can see for yourself that its a bag of shite.

Apparently we haven't scored two goals in a match in 10 games and haven't scored three in a match in 25 games (since February). League matches only.

Alberto £7m. Ilori £7m. Markovic £20m odd. Seems like a fucking expensive personality test. He could quit and go work for the Church of Scientology. Cunt.

Name them. Is this like the bit where you said we're a team of players who've won nothing, right before you were made to look like a fool?

Agger, "one of the most respected players at the club", used to act like a spoiled twat every time he came back from injury and wasn't straight back in the team, so don't give me none of that shite about him being holier than thou.

Agger, Sahin, Balotelli, Borini, Shelvey and Suso for example.

Agger, Şahin, Balotelli, Borini, Shelvey and Suso for example.

Right... I don't remember any of them saying he lied. Do yo have quotes?

Agger said it, the same Agger who came out and said he couldn't hack playing for us any more.

Sahin actually said "I'd rather not talk about what happened at Liverpool, I did not fail at Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers wanted me to play as a number 10. But I do not play behind the strikers." (no lies then, just a player miffed because he couldn't play his favoured midfield role where he was getting bypassed in the Premiership.

Balotelli is a renowned fuckhead who's fucked off every manager he's played under.

Borini was told he wasn't wanted but chose to stay (I don't remember any comments at all from him, in fact I've searched and can't find anything).

Shelvey said this: "I was on the way to Swansea and he told me I didn't have to go," said Shelvey, who faces his former club in the Premier League on Monday. "He spent hours on the phone to my dad in an effort to try and get me to stay. But I had made up my mind to come."

Suso said: "My contract was set to expire in June and Liverpool's offers did not satisfy me, neither economically nor in a sporting sense, I arrived very much as a boy and I have learned a lot. I have grown, but I have not noticed a lot of trust in me". No lies then? Just felt a bit like he wasn't offered what he thought he was worth and that we didn't have enough trust in him as a player. No lies.

You´re welcome 🙂 So the link please. Oh, I forgot, you can't find one so you had to attack me instead.
I cant be bothered with you.
Arguing with fuckers on the internet is so 2009.

Best of luck to you, keep doing what you do, LOAAAADS of morons on here cant resist biting.
Crack on. I think youre a cunt, but thats hardly worth debating.

I can't understand why Agger is getting a stick, especially in a thread for when Rodgers are to be sacked. Agger was a true red and a leader in the Club. He had his injuries, but he donded With the fans, played good football and was respected by oppositions. He was on the radar of big Clubs, which shows that you have fared well in the red shirt, but he loved his Liverpool life.

If Agger fell out With Rodgers on how we play defensively, I think Three years With Rodger shows that Agger had a good case. If one of those two represent what i want to be Liverpool mentality it certainly is not The Teeth! So what Mark and others try to achieve by giving stick to Agger is Beyond me. The Squad lack Agger mentality and quality badly, and it is certainly not because of Agger. He was pushed out by riodgers, and opted to og back to help his old Club instead of joining an opposition of Liverpool. Hero, Cult Hero or whatever. We miss that kind of assets today!

Player after player that left us have said that Rodgers lied to them. I don't believe Agger would lie about this. For years he was one of the most respected players at the club.

I'm just astounded you haven't sided with Rodgers on this one.

I mean, it's not like your view of the man is tainted.

Rodgers has been effectively useless since that 6-1.

Whether it's been acknowledged yet or not, these players don't want to play for him, or he's incapable of getting them to play for him.

I don't whether it's cos he spends all his time with his new bird, cos he blew the lid on the surprise end of season trip away, cos they have all just lost belief in him, or cos his teeth blind them all when he talks to them.

It doesn't matter, I could give less than a fuck.

What matters is that no matter what he tries more than half the side aren't performing in every match they play in. The reasoning is all academic, the result is the killer, lacklustre, dire, dull football.

He's a dead man walking, & I think the sooner we accept that the better for everyone.

Is Mark1975 the only person on here still desperately defending Rodgers? I guess all those polls that had 90% or 95% wanting him out on his arse also had 5% or 10% that don't. You can't please all the people all the time.

I'm defending him because I think he's our best option that's currently available to us. Plenty of people on here seemed to have convinced themselves that Klopp is begging to come to us and would be a massive success straight away, based on sweet fuck all. We'd be more likely to get harry fucking redknapp if Rodgers got the sack. There was only Martinez and Rodgers in the frame last time out, people are fooling themselves if they think we could just steal the top coaches in the world from another club mid season, or at all.
Rodgers wants to play attacking possession football, use home grown players, and develop youth players. Which really, is what you want from a manager. He's struggling to implement it currently, and got dealt a poor hand last season. He's never ever going to be a manager that has a solid defence, that just comes hand in hand with the style of football he's trying to implement. Rome wasn't built overnight. Give him a 100mill net spend per season like the two oil rich clubs and we'd probably piss the league. Until this funding happens, bar a fluke like Suarez, we'll be aiming for about 3rd at best - which we're not exactly far away from are we.

I still strongly believe, that when he has a fully fit team, with the squad we've got, we'll be competitive and towards the top of the table. Under Rodgers.

I think it's the ridiculous nature of the posts against Rodgers that Mark actually has an issue with. And he's right.

Rodgers has minimal support amongst the fanbase, he's never been particularly likeable, he's had zero success - he has little or no equity to rely with fans. I don't think anyone would keep him if there truly was a better option waiting in the wings to take the job.

We're five games into a season, which we should have expected to start slowly because of the numerous changes to the squad. It takes time for the players to get used to each other. Rodgers hasn't done anything to really improve the situation. But then he's without his captain and best striker too.

A bit of perspective is needed

Fair enough. I just feel he's had the best season he'll ever have as a manager when we finished second. The high watermark of a career that has a pretty low measuring stick. I'll never believe that any Liverpool manager should send out a team to get beat 6-1 by Stoke. And that's the low watermark. We've seen some pretty shoddy and embarrassing performances and the end of last season and the start of this feels like the end of the road. It's not as if he's trying to stick to a philosophy and trusts it will get us playing better and regaining that flambouyant and swashbuckling style that thrilled us when we had Suarez and a fit Sturridge. He's had three seasons and we still have no actual identity on the pitch despite his endless verbalisation of what he's trying to achieve. It changes every few weeks, and I cannot see how this man can lead this club where it needs to go. Accepting the limitations he has is fair enough, and clearly losing key personnel has an effect, but I still dream of a team to be proud of, a club that's led by someone we can all get behind who looks like he knows what he's doing. To me at least, that man is not Rodgers.

The level of vitriol being spewed at the man is essentially based on what you write above. He's never been likeable, and he's always seemed to be a bit of a bullshitter. That's fine when you win, as fans forgive anything when you're winning, but when it all starts to unravel a bit then it's out with the personal insults. A more likeable man might receive less vitriol.

The level of vitriol being spewed at him is because we play shit football. We the fans will always give the manager time if win or play attractive attacking football. We would also give him plenty of time if something pointed in the right direction. That he started to find a system that works.

We have played shit football in almost every game the last 45 league games or so. The mentality in the squad is shit. No fighting spirit at all. If the players showed that they will fight all the way then the manager would get plenty of time but as soon as we let in the first goal then it is game over, no balls, no fighting spirit. They just give up.

That is the main reasons to why Rodgers lost a big majority of the fans and want him out as soon as possible.

We have the seventh most expensive squad in the world and play relegation football. A very expensive squad packed with players that don't fight for the shirt. They just don't give a shit.

It is also because of our last league game that almost everyone want him out. It is because matches like 6-1 against Stoke and 0-3 against West Ham that almost everyone want him gone. It isn't nice to laughed at but right now we are what other teams laugh at together with Newcastle. We are a joke and it isn't nice to be that.

You can almost not talk football with other fans because we play so shit. You get laughed at. When that happened a year then you can't take it anymore.

It is on sites like this that frustrated fans like me shows what we really can't say to other fans. On here we can say what we really feel.

Voice of reason there. What gets to me is that taking offense to the vitriol is seen as being a superfan. If you're defending certain aspects of his reign, then you're rose tinted, blah blah. I don't particularly like him, I don't pay much attention to his PC's but I think he was picked apart for the type of comments other managers have gotten away with. So when you see it coming from posters who've backed previous managers to the hilt for the same things, it kinda gets a bit hypocritical and difficult to take seriously. Rodgers is talking shite now though, he's swimming against the tide.

I've had spats with Peter and GKMacca lately, both of whom admittedly I do like as posters, for the most part I can agree on stuff with them, or at least agree to disagree and talk about it reasonably. Things have got a bit fiery with both for reasons like the above, things just got a bit too repetitive and personal (towards the manager), when it's unnecessary, but Macca's a good sort and it took along time for frustration to snap there, as I guess it did for him with me. I was being a cunt though so it's six of one.

As for the rest, well there's not really much defense for the likes of Moo, Arn etc, repeating themselves. In defense of Arn, at least he bothers to put a point together into an explanatory post, even if it does amount to the same drone, but Moo? Why wouldn't people get fucked off reading that daily?

Returning to the point, I don't think Rodgers can have any complaints if he goes and if we're all agreed on one thing, it's that old Liverpool philosophy, if you can improve 1% on any aspect of the club, then we do it, no questions. There's clearly alot of room for improvement, just don't expect me to join in with pathetic, unwarranted name calling towards him or his signings. We all know who's not good enough, we all know what Rodgers' flaws are, we also know what good stuff he has done (unless you choose to ignore it) and what good players he has signed. Just show some perspective and stop with losing sight of the fact that we just want to be winning games regardless. People seem more focused on winning petty battles of oneupmanship, on seeing him fail to be proven right. That can't be right.

I repeat myself very often and I'm sorry about that but as I said and explained it is because it isn't easy to be a Liverpool fan right now. You can't hold your head high. You can't be proud to be a Liverpool fan. I love talking football with fans from other teams but we play so bad that you can't do that. You can't laugh at other teams when they play bad because we play even worse.

The 6-1 loss against Stoke, well, what can you say more than fuck off, just fuck to Rodgers and almost everyone of our players that played that game. Rodgers should have been sacked and every player sold. You can say the same after the 0-3 against West Ham. Totally fucking unacceptable.

Yes I have said many times as you know that Rodgers should be sacked but many of our players should also be sold because they have pissed on the Liverpool shirt. Money, money, money, I got a lot of money and don't give a shit. That must be what many of them think.

It is time for Rodgers to show some balls and play with two strikers and go all out to get three points. It is time for the players to show some balls if we go one goal down and battle the whole game. If they don't they can just fuck off and close the door behind them.

At least show some fighting spirit even if we play shit.

So much for the Liverpool way, walking through a storm and all that malarkey.
