Roberto Firmino - signed the silky swine

In his 5 seasons in Germany he's scored 3,7,5,16,7 goals. I thought he'd been banging in 25 goals every season the way people were raving about him. I'd rather we went for this Kovacic fella out of the two of them.

Tony Evans isnt the best source but I love the idea of sign Firmino. But the question is where do we play him?
Do we see him as a striker?

Gotta consider the team he plays for.

@BrazilStats: BREAKING NEWS - Liverpool are close on completing the deal of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, acc to Globoesporte. http://t.co/jFReK9V16W

@BrazilStats: @ViktorFagerLFC The guy who wrote it covers Brazil's training camp in Chile, so he is usually reliable but only time can be the real answer.

Claims we are favourites to sign him. Fee will be no less than €25 million. 5 year contract.

Guys who've been watching Hoffenheim and Firmino -- would you pick Firmino or Volland if they were both available and you had to choose between them? I admit I've not seen these guys beyond the usual youtube clips, but somehow, Volland feels like the more attractive pick to me.

I've seen only clips as well, but I get the Weimann vibe from Volland (not in terms of style, but in terms of level). Think he's a good player, but Villa is probably his level. Firmino has a higher ceiling I reckon.

Wonder if he'll be this window's Willian/Mkhitaryan/Konoplyanka/Salah/Sanchez/Costa...

I don't think it is because I don't think Manure were ever interested in the lad ... and it seems no one really is (bar late interest from Spurs!). Hopefully, Suarez MK II.

Not a bad record overall though for 23 year old. When you watch him he's got it all, pace, capable of a composed finish, drops in behind and plays a good weighted pass.. He's exciting and definitely the style we should be going for ahead of Benteke.

I hope we get Kovacic aswell though.
