yeah man...i've always wondered what will happen if we do a Ferguson circa 1995 and play 'Rafa's Fledglings'.

Rage, what makes you think Riera wasn't injured? Even if he was offski (which is most unlikely) then it wouldn;t prevent Rafa from picking him, it's not like it would cup-tie him. He was not fully fit mate.

he played for spain midweek and scored yet was out injured for our pre season game prior to this and wasn't even in the squad yesterday. i reckon he's off mate. i'd rather sell doseena and babel but its clear no one wants babel and doseena wants to eat more pasta than play football else he'd have agreed personal terms. riera is our only sellable asset on that side of the pitch

It's not a massive blow if either went though to be honest. Reira is better, but not by much.

Unless he’s unsettled and has asked to leave then it’s a big gamble to let him go and hope his replacement hits the ground running. He may lack the blinding pace that is such a precious commodity in the English league however I was looking forward to seeing him progress this season.
