REALISTICALLY,WHO SHOULD LIVERPOOL LOOK TO SIGN THIS SUMMER

If we're looking for a dribbler with end product, Raphinha looks like he's ready for a big move.

Yeah, I would much prefer Raphinha to bringing back Coutinho. Although at some point we’ll need to think about how many Brazilians in the squad are too many.

Yes - the thing about Rahpinha is that he has a nasty aggressive look about him all the time, very focused player - but again why did our scouts not pick him up before ? - why are we going to pay 50M to Leeds for him. Oh c'mon you know we will....

And Saka from Arsenal.
Will cost top money though. they can have ox back

Unfortunately we’ve missed our chance - Arteta was able to convince him and Martinelli to stay. Those 2 will their key players for years to come.

Yes, if Martinelli can overcome the injury problems, these two will be key for Arsenal for years.

I think he’s overrated. He’s definitely very slow too and I’m not sure how that fits in our dynamic midfield.

You could be right on the dynamics issue, but I reckon he is not worse than Gini?
He also does play in a team who thrives on the counter though, like ours.

Have you seen anything of Patson Daka, mate?

Yes, he looked impressive in the few CL games I saw, but also kind of raw - he doesn’t strike me a sure thing, it would be investment in potential. He needs to go to Dortmund after Haaland leaves and prove himself there.

"If" we could get him cheap and "if" we could turn him into a midfielder, then I would not mind Patrick van Aanholt I think that he would be a very good replacement for his cousin Georginio Wijnaldum

I would "convert" Tariq Lamptey into the new N'Golo Kante............he is athletic, fast, intelligent and good in possession. He will cost at least £50m but he's the real deal.

Actually maybe more of a Michael Essien as Lamptey is too good going forward to restrict him to just defensive duties.

Great player. But is he not too weak and small to play such a role in the middle?

Is he Kante's cousin though?

Not from what I've seen, he like to get stuck in and is quite physical.............and too physical sometimes hence the 3 yellows and 1 red card in his 11 league games this season. I think his disciplinary record is purely down to over-enthusiasm and inexperience and he will time his tackles better as he progresses.

The big question is, how will all this look if we dont get CL. How many players and how much will FSG stump up. Who will still join us etc.

And regarding size..............I reckon he's similar in height to Kante (and Mikelel..............christ Chelsea have had some great DM'ers) and if anything has a more athletic physique than either of them.

I'd cryogenically freeze Pele and wait till the technology allows it for us to then clone him so we can play him up front to replace Bobby.

This is why earlier this season I said, to some incredulity among posters, that Saka is in the absolute top tier alongside De Bruyne for the ability to find and execute the last pass. Couldn’t find a video of his first assist of the game, but it was also pretty good. Too bad we’ve missed out; now it looks like Arsenal got their generational player.
