You say.
We do, however, have the funds to gaurantee Rafa between 15 and 20 million (depending on who you listen to) over the next 4 years. Now, if he walks away...

For 20 m a year (net) I doubt Jose will come. He will want at least 100 m (net). Hiddink I am not sure but Hiddink's record is no better than Rafa's.

100m (net) a year, eh?

There was an interview somewhere, I think, if my memory served me right that Jose said he will not come unless there are funds for transfer (or something like that). Funds to change the present team to make it the same standard as Man U and Chelsea will be massive.
Who would he sell from Torres, Gerrard, Reina, Masher and Carra? Selling half of the balalnce Babel, Kuyt, Yossi, Aqua, Lucas, Agger, Ngog, Insua, Arbeloa, Johnson, Skrtel, Greek and Reira might not bring in more than 50m. So he need another 100 m to start rebuilding, even if he is allowed to spend from the sale of these players. First year, he needs at least 150 m (edit: plus the 50m from sale) to rebuild. After that 100m. Third year maybe 50m. First three years average out net of 100 m. Where is this going to come from? Not in the current setting, it will not happen.

A lot of assumptions there, which I wouldn't be as quick as you to make. It also doesn't take into account Mourinho's admiration for this club and the MAJOR attraction (for him) of trying to put one over on Rafa. The bookies currently make Mourinho favourite to be our next manager and they're not in the habit of getting things wrong.

Well, he is every better's and most of SCM's favourite to come, so the odds are massive against the bookies. So they have to shorten the odds as I am sure plenty of dosh have been placed on Jose to come. I am not so sure bookies are often right. They have to protect themselves.
