Rafa confirmed as new Chelsea boss

Would hardly call that a rant.
Absolutely nothing wrong with what Rafa said imo. He was just stating the facts (no pun intended).
Everyone knew from the outset that he wasn't going to be there beyond this season and to waste time and energy on him rather than supporting the team is idiotic.
Problem is that the Chavs are thick, plastic flag waving cunts to understand that and the media will always sensationalise everything Rafa says to sell fucking papers.

Sometimes you have to think before you post.
League titles, CL win, CL final, semi finals it's all crap.

He subbed Gerrard and brought Lucas on once. That's all that matters.

I feel ashamed now. I should've given it much more thought. Thanks for setting me straight and spending time schooling me.

Well in Rafa. I'm kinda glad he failed because it's them, and to shut up those that STILL hail him as the fucking messiah, but anyway. I'm made up he's done this, they're a bunch of cunts who don't deserve him.

Nah, a separate post gives it more credence.

Besides, I've not given out one like yet, I'm not about to start now. Not even for fark, the big ride.

He went into an unwinnable position, on the off chance he might be able to turn things around enough quickly to do well. The fans were more vociferous about wanting him out than they are normally about supporting their own team. He had a go at them for being cunts after finding out he was not coming back next year, saying that he's fucking off anyway, so save your cunt breath. It's not some weird melt down, and it was mostly directed at the supporters, and not the owners. Yea, he knew what he was getting into, but he also knew he'd have this excuse waiting for him, and it's not like it's not a valid excuse. It was part of the risk benefit analysis.

The good thing is that it's given everyone one here, including myself, an opportunity to say where we all are regarding Benitez. Because we didn't already know where we all stood after the last many years.
There was no 'off chance'.
Hes shit.

Desperation and ego mean he's ended up in a job he shouldn't have touched with a fuckin barge-pole. He must be gutted in hindsight.
Despite the obvious highs there are a hell of a lot of black marks on his CV now, I'd be amazed if he manages in England again.

The Chelsea fans must be delighted they have won, they have finally proved they are passionate about something, just a pity it's not about their team doing well. They must be so proud.

I said when he took the job it was a strange decision after waiting for so long for the 'right project'. Two years sitting around dictating books and launching apps, and then he goes to that bubbling bog of bile. I suppose it got him out of the house.

Has anyone ever met a chelsea fan thats not a total nobhead? My mate brought one out to the bar the other week, I've never taken a faster dislike to anyone in my life.

Yeah, I know a Chelsea fan who is a nice guy. He's a recruitment agent, though, so the warning signs are there.

They must make this bloke the new manager. He's the only man Abramovich seems unable to sack. He posed, hilariously, as an Italian translator for Ranieri until he was rumbled (one time on MOTD he let Claudio waffle on for a couple of minutes and then 'translated' it as: 'It was a game of two halves'), but instead of being sacked he got appointed player liaison officer and parades around like he's on the coaching staff, except when he decides to wear his blazer and act like a director. He must have some really fruity blackmail material to stop Roman from bombing him out of the club, so just make it so!!

He started quite well, built up some momentum scoring goals for fun, and then decided to rotate all of his best players out of the team at home to QPR. And they've been inconsistent since. You couldn't write it. Actually, you could.

Living close to and working in London, I know fans of a lot of London clubs, and out of the lot, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham, Chelsea fans are definitely more likeable, followed by Spammer fans.

P.S no one supports QPR.

Just had a look at the bbc website and 1400 posts in, the love for Rafa is quite amazing to behold - most posters saying he was completely justified in having a pop and quite a few naming the real cancer at Chelski, JT. I really really hope they appoint the steptoe lookalike so he can undermine himself as manager

I don't feel sorry for Rafa through all this. The fella must have been rubbing his hands with glee. Especially since he's likely to get a rather large pay day from it all. I'm sure he knew from the off that it was only a short term thing. He'll manage again and I'm sure he will be a success.

As for the Chelsea fans. I've only ever really known two types. The ones that decided to follow them in the 80's because of their hooligan image - You can imagine what a bunch of cunts these people were. When I was in school a particularly nasty twat got a Chelsea tattoo on his arm for precisely that reason - He knew nothing about football but loved the 'image'....

The other lot are the massive band wagon folk that jumped aboard the gravy train as soon Maureen and Abromovic got involved. I've met many of these who somewhat weirdly openly admitted it at first. I suppose these are the plastic flag posse. The ones in London are really hideous. Usually banker wanker types. Either way I've never met an alright one. I'm pretty sure I've never met a lifelong fan anyway.

Tbh by far the worst group of fans I've known have been the Utd fans in the area I grew up, around Lancaster and the South Lakes. They were almost always thick and massively boring and unimaginative. I used to be convinced (I still am, tbh) that I could sort of sense them long before I found out they were indeed Utd fans. It was a bit like that Roald Dahl story about witches. I think it was called Witches.

Utd fans from Manchester I've always found to be sound enough, on average.
