Our problem is quite obvious , it's not the defence , it's not the midfield - it's up-front.
If Luis is having a slightly off-day then we are very limited on goal scoring options.
Fortunately Stevie has woken from his slumbers and looks like trying to make up some of the weight from midfield.
While defenders only have their hands full with just one forward of any note it makes it difficult for the midfield to nick goals.
One we have more options up front we will be more consistent

I tell you what we are missing right now and something that Carragher has always done, is someone marshalling and organising the defence, none of the above including Hyppia could do that like Carragher has done.
Marshalling and organizing? You mean pointing and screaming?
Carragher wasn't better than Hyypia in any aspect.

Modo, I often stick up for you but this is a bit embarrassing. You're allowed have an opinion but the last few pages are just horseshit. Big piles of steaming horseshit.

Sometimes I wonder why you support Liverpool. Why not walk away and support someone else? You don't seem to 'get it' at times. The Carragher bashing is misguided, insulting and down right wrong. We should not be subjected to reading that horseshit with our breakfast.

Oh and mega lol at the fact he 'stamped' (as you put on it) on your brother's mate. The obvious reason for this misguided hatred of a living club legend. Poor ole Jesper. Might be a sound lad but he also played for united and we have no affiliation as Liverpool fan's towards him. I'm from Ireland and if Carragher for example went in hard on Stephen fucking Hunt at club level I wouldn't blink an eye. Also you selectively picked Carragher's worst moments over a 15 year period. Pretty pathetic.

Happy new year and eat shit Modo.

Ok guys - let's relax. No need to go overboard on Modo. He's presenting an obviously unpopular opinion, but its his right (even if he's wrong). Please play nice, or ignore him.

Vlad means both. Carra pointed and screamed, and in the process he got the defence organised like nobody else has since he stopped being a regular. Your poster boy Agger (who is not capable of doing the same, not for us anyway) is just one of the players who badly misses that.

Nobody's going overboard on him. His opinion is being presented in an inflammatory way which is needlessly insulting to one of the best club servants we've ever had.

Come on Wiz.
Surely you must know that Modokay is loving the attention.
If people ignored him and his stupid opinions like they should, he probably wouldn't bother being oh so controversial..

No hassle LTW.

On a side note I wonder what it's like being an internet WUM? I think I have a problem that I self diagnosed which requires me to know that everyone likes me. I'm the anti modo. I think i'm an internet hybrid of two of my favourite fictional characters. Gandhi and Michael Scott from the office.

How will Modo like you though if he's eating shit? 😉

'Eat shit' was within my running theme of him feeding us horse shit.

Apologies, it was all American pie-y of me.

You've all raised some interesting points, Carra's longevity, his love for the club, work rate etc. and I understand why most would regard him as a legend.
Still, I never really fancied him and the tag he had in late 90s, never really rubbed off for me.
In 05-09 he was one of the best in the country. Coincidentally Carra's decline started about the time Hyypia left.

It genuinely amazes me that he managed to stay so long. I bet none of you would have been surprised if Carragher was shipped out along with McAteer, Matteo and co, during the Houllier days.

I'm looking forward to the new fly on the wall documentary "Being Modo", should be riveting.

Jordan: How I beat bug to play
Jordan Henderson has revealed the bug which forced Brendan Rodgers to miss the 3-0 win over QPR also struck him on Saturday night - but admitted the lure of putting on a starting shirt was too great to miss.

The England U21 captain managed to play for just over an hour and gave a fine display as the Reds produced a brilliant performance to sink Harry Redknapp's bottom-of-the-table side.
Henderson said: "I was close to not playing. I had a bad stomach and was sick on Saturday night, which is unusual for me as I'm normally never sick. I caught the bug a few people and the boss got, but I love playing football and I want to play every chance I get for this club.
"There's a lot of competition for places at this club so when you are given the opportunity you can't let anything get in the way so I was pleased to be able to play.
"The coaches just said to me see how you feel in the warm-up. I felt okay so I managed to play for an hour which I'm pleased with.
"I got a text from my dad saying I looked white when I came off, but I feel fine and hopefully will be ready for the next game now against Sunderland."
Henderson received a great ovation from the travelling Kop when he made way for Lucas, and he was keen to acknowledge their support.
"Our fans are brilliant," he added.
"They travel home and away in their thousands and we really appreciate that. They are so passionate and we are very pleased to get this win for them."

I really don't think we should be thinking of selling Jordan. All that is stopping him from becoming a top player is self belief. He has a great attitude.
