The structure of the transfer, including Neymar’s £26m-a-year salary, is not yet known but PSG are adamant they will respect financial fair play regulations. To make sure they do not expose themselves to sanctions they are preparing to sacrifice some members of the squad. Ángel Di María carries the likely highest value, at around £45m, among the players the club are willing to sell. Serge Aurier is expected to leave for around £20m and Blaise Matuidi, who has one year left on his contract, could fetch a similar fee. Hatem Ben Arfa, Jesé and Grzegorz Krychowiak were already on the transfer list. The right-winger Lucas is unlikely to be sold as he has a very close relationship with Neymar, a friend since the age of six, and could be useful for integrating his compatriot.

If we're talking about Keita alternatives, Matuidi would be as good as it gets. I've been a fan of his for a long time; admittedly he's a bit past his peak, but his experience, including CL experience, could be a plus in our team. I would also consider Krychowiak, especially if we lose Can (hopefully not, of course).

There was some dodgy rumour around that Qatar would buy out Neymars release clause and employ him as a World Cup ambassador and then giving him to PSG for free thus avoiding FFP issues

Nah, that would be way too transparent. Even the corrupt UEFA would have no choice but to intervene if they tried something like this.

Surely that has to be third party ownership?

Krychowiak, Matuidi, Lucas Moura, Aurier all good options if available for cheap.

They also are supposed to have some really great talents coming up from their youth academy - Jon Ikone, Presnel Kimpembe.

Not a fan of Matuidi myself but who knows, could be a hit. I guess there's no interest in loaning them out if this is ffp related.

God knows what happened to Krychowiak.
Matuidi seems to be going to Juve.

Read something about Seri from Nice being an option to Keita. Available for 36 mill. Wanted by Roma and Arsenal.

He's a quality player who has misused at Utd, He would be superb for us but as you say more than likely will never happen.
Him and his Mrs were shit scared after the family home got robbed in Cheshire. One of the reasons he wanted out of the UK. OK player when he wants to be

Marquinhos would be good.. I gather he's friends with Firmino and Coutinho. I suspect they would try and cash in or Veratti if they had to make quick $$$.

I like Veratti but his size is a huge problem.

I don't think either of those is for sale. I can see Di Maria moving to Barca though.

[article]Krychowiak was at an immediate disadvantage once Emery moved away from the attack-minded 4-2-3-1 formation he tried to implement upon his arrival. By moving back to the possession-based 4-3-3 system introduced by former coach Laurent Blanc, an emphasis was placed on the more technical midfielders.

Thiago Motta, Marco Verratti, Adrien Rabiot, Blaise Matuidi and even young Christopher Nkunku are all more gifted with the ball at their feet, and there was no space in the starting XI or even as a substitute for a player such as Krychowiak. The formidable Pole is effectively sixth in Emery's midfield pecking order now because of his style of play. A glaring error during the 2-2 Champions League group stage draw away at Arsenal did not help his cause, either.

However, that is part of his problem at Parc des Princes. Many looked at Krychowiak following Emery to Paris and assumed the Basque tactician had requested him. Instead, Krychowiak's well-documented friendship with PSG sporting director Olivier Letang looks to have secured him the move.

Right now, the Poland No. 10 does not appear to have much to thank his friend for after arguably the most difficult season of his career since he established himself with Reims.

Krychowiak is expected to miss the next three weeks through injury, but realistically, he will not feature much again this campaign -- if at all -- under Emery because he simply does not fit the system the French giants are playing and are likely to continue playing with the 45-year-old in charge.

Krychowiak remains an excellent player if you are looking for somebody in midfield to break up an opponent's attack and add bite in the middle -- hence his nickname of "the Butcher" -- but PSG require greater technical qualities on top of that.

Krychowiak does not offer the other characteristics, so a summer move away from Parc des Princes looks like a no-brainer at this moment.[/article]

Emery confirmed two weeks ago that he would be allowed to leave.

[article]“I have already spoken with him [Krychowiak],” Emery, who coached the former Bordeaux midfielder at Sanchez Pizjuan, told reporters.

“The best option is that he leaves, he hasn’t adapted to the team.

“He is a quality player who is able to play in a great team it’s better that he finds another team where the style of play suits him better.”[/article]

Loan with option to buy would be great.

What rules would it be breaking if say Qatar sell him on to PSG for £1m or something? I agree it would be transparently dodgy but just wondering what actual rules it would break? It's most likely a load of shite dreamed up on Twitter of course.
